Adding to the whole "heavier drums" thing, I think Will deserves to be more present in the songs - both volume wise and maybe with more complex rhythms. [smoke is rising from the houses]

I think no. Mainly because Coldplay have always up until now more or less reinvented their sound from album to album. But also because I envision something completely different. I think AHFOD will be much more stripped down, more direct with more bass, more dominant drums. I've described it before here. I think it will also make heavy use of synths and vocal effects. I love 1.36. But that's because I also listen to a lot of rock besides Coldplay. Would I like Coldplay if their general style was stuff like 1.36? Maybe, maybe not. They certainly wouldn't be as big to me. But it's cool to hear something different from them once in a while. Like listening to GPASUYF. My favorite movie at the moment is Home, I've watched it four times within less than a couple of weeks. :D But more to the point, this last time I noticed that Stargate produced the music for it. So watch the movie or listen to the soundtrack if you want an idea of what their sound is. It is of course pop with extra pop sprinkled on top, and then just a little more pop. But it's cool sounding pop imho, and I kinda hope AHFOD will sound equally cool. [smoke is rising from the houses]
