  1. I can totally relate!
  2. :D Yeah, the re-targeting is strong and a little overdone with these ads. You can keep them from reappearing with the blue cross in the corner. However, I kind of like to see them instead of other ads and be reminded of good times ahead.
  3. I work with a lot of numbers, but not stats specifically. I just like them, lol. :P Absolutely agreed! Amen.
  4. Here are my updated stats including the North American leg. (Note: Festival appearances and promo shows not included.) LEG 1, 2 & 3 – LATIN AMERICA, EUROPE & NORTH AMERICA 52 concerts in 15 countries, 38 cities and 38 venues. 40 shows were in outdoor arenas, 12 shows in indoor arenas. Leg 1 – Latin America: 10 Leg 2 – Europe: 20 Leg 3 – North America: 22 They played 54 different songs (41 of their own songs, 13 covers), 1,184 songs overall. There were 9 new setlist additions in Northern America of which 8 were covers (Violet Hill was the only Coldplay song they added). The average setlist had 23 songs. At the most 24 songs were played (several shows), while the shortest setlist had just 19 songs (first Chicago date due to truncation caused by a storm). From the 1,184 songs played in total: - 31% were from A Head Full Of Dreams (-1 pp vs. Leg 1&2) - 16% were from Ghost Stories (+1 pp vs. Leg 1&2) - 15% were from Mylo Xyloto - 13% were from A Rush Of Blood To The Head (+1 pp vs. Leg 1&2) - 8% were from Parachutes - 6% were from X&Y - 6% were cover songs (+1 pp vs. Leg 1&2) - 5% were from Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends - 1% were from The Blueroom EP (-1 pp vs. Leg 1&2). Birds and Army of One had their live debuts on this tour (both in Buenos Aires). Seven songs have been played after taking a live hiatus for five or more years: See You Soon (last played in 2003), A Rush Of Blood To The Head (2007), A Message (2010), Parachutes (2011), Politik (2011), Shiver (2011), and The Hardest Part (2011). 15 different audience requests were chosen for the C-stage. 35% of the requests played overall were from AROBTTH, 29% from Parachutes, 26% from X&Y, 4% from The Blueroom EP, and 2% each from Viva La Vida, Mylo Xyloto and covers. The songs were: - Til Kingdom Come (8x) - In My Place (7x) - Don’t Panic (7x) - Green Eyes (6x) - Shiver (5x) - God Put A Smile Upon Your Face (4x) - The Hardest Part (3x) - Trouble (3x) - See You Soon (2x) - A Message (1x) - A Rush Of Blood To The Head (1x) - Speed Of Sound (1x) - Strawberry Swing (1x) - Us Against The World (1x) - Earth Angel (cover, 1x) The average show had an attendance of 46,000 people. The biggest overall audience in one place in a row were 304,000 at the four shows in London. Attendance in total was 2.4 million. Gross revenue is estimated to be $221 million.
  5. I saw someone saying on Twitter that they had also chosen Pelouse and that it had randomly changed to a seat on the ranks during the checkout process. Could this be the same issue? Maybe a technical glitch? I guess you should contact Ticketmaster.
  6. Random accidental double post... I have no other random thought. :D
  7. Looks like the tour programme from the AROBTTH tour. I have that somewhere in my Coldplay stash. Haven't looked at it in years. Should probably get it out again. :)
  8. Pre-sale for the German dates already started on Wednesday on Ticketmaster. It's the official seller, so everything's good. During the pre-sale tickets hadn't sold out yet.
  9. I reckoned they might add a second date for Vienna due to the longer gap until Leipzig and no Austrian date in 2016, but doesn't seem like it. Well, maybe that's better for my bank account anyway, 'cause I wouldn't be able to control myself. :D
  10. Just bought tickets for Vienna, Leipzig, Hannover and Frankfurt. Might try for Cardiff on Friday. :o Whenever I start thinking: "This is all so crazy!", I listen to the live recording from Copenhagen this year and it immediately changes to: "No, it's crazy to not buy more tickets!"
  11. That was...a lot less stressful than expected. :P (At least for the German and Austrian dates.)
  12. I might update my stats over the weekend. (If I get tickets and won't need to spend all my time crying...) :)
  13. Doesn't get any yummier on this tour, I guess. :D
  14. Stephie replied to a post in a topic in Coldplay Live
I'm not an opera expert, but isn't it also about loving someone or something so much that you would die for it? Sounds like my love for Coldplay. :D ;) But I also think that it could mark a transition from darker to something light and colourful. The Chaplin speech works like this as well, saying that misery, bitterness and hate is upon us, but that it will pass if we unite and that the people have the power to turn it into something wonderful. Then: Boom, colours! Or they just liked it without any deeper meaning, lol. :P
  15. I was kind of bummed for everybody attending this show when I read about the weather chaos and that the show had to be shortened. But then reading all your comments here and on social media it really made me smile how much fun everybody seemed to have despite it all, making the best out of it, and bonding over a surely extraordinary experience. It really is what this band is about. :)
  16. I didn't manage to get an orange love button during the tour. Does anybody have one they would want to trade for another one? I have green, purple and red to offer. :)
  17. Fun. As I'm trying to learn to play it on the piano...
  18. I have a spare yellow one. Do you want it for just shipping costs?
  19. Are you taking the 'Coldplay scenic route'? :D
  20. It's more to the left hand/Guy's side. Recent pics from the stadium suggest that it's the same as in Europe.
  21. I think this is exactly how it happens and that it has little to do with the number of requests or how particularly sweet or unique the video is. And yes, given the sheer number of gems to choose from, some songs could have been played less in favour of others, but I also get it that sometimes they want to choose a safe bet or songs that they really enjoy playing. As @guy42 pointed out, there are many possibilities why we don't get to hear certain songs and as much as I as a fan would like the hear this or that song, I also understand that maybe they as artists and creators have their reasons for not doing so. Also, I get it that choosing the more "known" ones, would make sure that more people in the stadium actually know the song and have a connection with it. (The people around me in front row in Gelsenkirchen didn't know See You Soon, so they got a little bored and didn't hide it, lol :D) Overall, however, I think that also the request element adds to the increase of variety for this tour and therefore I find it very positive. By having this varying element, I feel that they also created more free space for the other songs played at the B and C stages, even if it's not the request. During this tour, with 30 shows so far (not including festivals and promo shows), they played 40 different Coldplay songs (covers not included). The MX tour had about 74 shows (also not including the festival tour and promos) and overall they only played 32 different songs. Back then they had the exact same setlist for 40+ shows. With the B and C stages, they would have also had some room to include more variation, but they rarely used it. So even though this request thing might be a little bluff package, I'm not disappointed. I think it might have made them re-discover some of their older stuff and connect with it again. (I mean they soundchecked Square One and DAAHF in Copenhagen! Who knew they'd still remember these? I hardly did and had to think hard about WTF I'm hearing there. :D) Also, I think it's nice that one person gets to be on the big screen and have a song that is dear to them played. Even if the rest of the stadium or we don't like it, lol. :D So keep wishing for the songs close to your hearts! :)
  22. Aw, they are such nice guys. I'm always so proud to be a fan when seeing little things like that. Much deserved for the kid. I updated my personal Coldplay live stats today (nerdy, I know!) and just found out that the last song at the last show I attended in Copenhagen also marked the 500th song I've heard live at their shows. Can't believe it's been that many already! :shocked2:
  23. As the European leg of the tour is over now as well, I updated my stats. (Note: Festival appearances and promo shows not included.) :) LEG 1 & 2 – SOUTH AMERICA & EUROPE 30 concerts in 14 countries, 19 cities and 19 venues. They played 45 different songs (6 new additions in Europe of which two were covers), 679 songs overall. The average setlist had 23 songs. From the 679 songs played in total: - 32% were from A Head Full Of Dreams (-1 pp vs. just Leg 1 SA) - 15% were from Mylo Xyloto - 15% were from Ghost Stories - 12% were from A Rush Of Blood To The Head - 8% were from Parachutes - 6% were from X&Y (-1 pp vs. just Leg 1 SA) - 5% were cover songs - 5% were from Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends (+1 pp vs. just Leg 1 SA) - 2% were from The Blueroom EP (+1 pp vs. just Leg 1 SA). Birds and Army of One had their live debuts (both in Buenos Aires). Seven songs have been played after taking a live hiatus for five or more years: See You Soon (last played in 2003), A Rush Of Blood To The Head (2007), A Message (2010), Parachutes (2011), Politik (2011), Shiver (2011), and The Hardest Part (2011). 13 different audience requests were chosen for the C-stage. 37% of the requests played overall were from Parachutes, 37% from AROBTTH, 17% from X&Y, and 3% each from The Blueroom EP, Viva La Vida and Mylo Xyloto. The songs were: - In My Place (6x) - Don’t Panic (4x) - Shiver (4x) - The Hardest Part (3x) - Trouble (3x) - God Put A Smile Upon Your Face (2x) - Green Eyes (2x) - A Message (1x) - A Rush Of Blood To The Head (1x) - See You Soon (1x) - Speed Of Sound (1x) - Strawberry Swing (1x) - Us Against The World (1x) The average show had an attendance of 56,000 people. Attendance in total was 1.69 million. :o
