  1. I highly suggest you do some research for yourself-- you may even want to try looking on Coldplay's website for these answers :sneaky:
  2. Lol I know, right? Like stop taking everything so damn personally! It's just a simple pop song, no need to resent it so much
  3. You brought a year to my eye, well done-- I couldn't have said it better. I think anyone who listens to this album will be able to feel how "real" it is.
  4. Me as well!
  5. Less raw, more beautiful. Probably won't become a single, but will most likely become my favorite closing song, even beating out Amsterdam. It's becoming more and more apparent to me that Ghost Stories is Coldplay's magnum opus-- their greatest achievement both critically and commercially. We may have ourself the equivalent of Achtung Baby on our hands here and potentially a few Grammys as well.
  6. Something tells me that True Love and Ink will be even higher rated than 7 and 8... For me this album may take the crown from AROBTTH as my favorite coldplay album-- something that I was honestly beginning to think wasn't possible after MX.

SOMEONE WHO HAS THE SONG NEEDS TO UPLOAD IT ALREADY WTF
  8. Skypala replied to Tash's topic in Another's Arms
Of I could also have a copy as well-- naturally I have preordered the album
  9. This was during another's arms if I remember correctly :)
  10. They've basically stepped up everything in this era-- a tasteful wardrobe, simplistic yet elegant stage setup, phenomenally mysterious and exciting hype machine, and finish it all off with some of the best sounding new music in years!
  11. To me this shows that the band is trying to find out WHICH to play (Magic OR Midnight), not both-- then the second song would be either Another's Arms, ASFOS
  12. Skypala replied to Tash's topic in Oceans
THE ORACLE REPLIES > I love Oceans; it reminds me of Careful Where You Stand. I was going to say that radio prefer radio edits of songs and 4 minutes is a normal radio play length but in reality the remaining minute and a half of Oceans isn't another verse or anything so you heard pretty much the song.
  13. I agree with you 100%-- marketing aside, I think this is going to be not only their best selling album, but also their most critically acclaimed.
  14. I don't think I've ever been more excited for a Coldplay album than I am for this one!!!

    Cool! Sweet profile picture btw

Was True Love "Parachutey"? How would you describe it?
  17. Skypala replied to RiotFever's topic in Oceans
Actually, there could potentially be an extremely short hidden track in Oceans, so you may not have failed too badly ;)
  18. Haha I was gonna say, I've already heard that clip of Always In My Head! Haha
  19. WHERE DID YOU HEAR THAT???
  20. Actually I'm going to have to disagree and say that I have found this to be the perfect build up to Ghost Stories. Rather than have a really long wait for everything to get stale, I can feel a climax building up to the albums release, which I'm sure will only intensify in the next couple weeks!
  21. Skypala replied to Tash's topic in Oceans
It felt like the end was kinda sudden-- maybe there will be a longer instrumental build-up/climax at the end?
  22. Take a moment to think about Magic and Midnight-- unlike Coldplay songs from previous albums (especially MX), neither of these songs have a distinct chorus, rather, they have groupings of words that are repeated in ways that are memorable and/or repetitive-- but there is no distinct chorus section. Another's arms is like this as well. What do you guys think of it? Have you noticed other variations in songwriting style in the GS songs that you find interesting? Share them here!
  23. Interesting ideas! Basically, we really can't say for sure so don't jump to conclusions about songs you haven't heard yet (True Love, etc) One thing we can all agree on though-- this sure is a great time to be a Coldplay fan!
