  1. ^ This! I could even imagine the first single being the rockier one, given that it features a heavy drum beat and more Jonny than we're used to.
  2. Wait, that song was written by Chris Martin!? :o
  3. I can't see it. What is it?
  4. OMG YES, please let the whole song sound like that. Although it's only a short snippet it sounds awesome. Haha I love this band so much. :laugh3: I have a feeling I'm going to like the album better than MX and GS.
  5. Hmm I think the new artwork is really interesting, but from a mere aesthetic standpoint it's too childish and colourful for me. I would have liked the sleek black background better. However it gives me hope that the album will be more experimental than GS and maybe less mainstream-oriented. If we're lucky we'll maybe even get some psychedelic rock (although I think with Stargate on board the chances are low).
  6. It's actually a woman! I really love the stuff that I have found by her on the internet. Personally I like her art much better than Mila Fürstova's. This era seems to be promising at least from the artwork involved. Btw, here's Zeta's rendition of the tree of life, another spiritual symbol closely connected to the flower of life. It also seems to have the same kind of background as the AHFOD artwork, so I guess there's a connection.
  7. Haha wow that "Spirit Science" video was a whole bunch of bullshit. :laugh3: It's interesting, though, to see the esoteric meaning behind that sign. If it's going to be the cover for AHFOD that'll be amazing. It looks really good, especially combined with a completely black background. Reminds me a bit of X&Y.
  8. *sigh* the LP7 thread... reliably providing mini heart attacks since 2014
  9. Haha, I like that idea. Maybe they were trolling us from the beginning and it was always planned that LP7 will only exist in our dreams. :laugh3:
  10. I think the point of this thread is not to give an artistic comparison but to state one's own preference. And in that respect I can absolutely say that I prefer Bach to Avicii.

  14. Wow, I was pleasantly surprised! IMO much better than the original.
  15. Maybe Coldplay just wanted to troll us from the beginning and there will be no music video, no single and no LP7.
  16. Oh yes I'd also love another concept album. But I REALLY hope they won't sell us again 30 second intros as whole tracks like in MX, making the album even shorter. I never really got why they would do that (apart from misleading potential buyers into thinking there's more songs on the album). It's much better to include these 30 seconds in the actual song because whenever I listen to such a song I would start with the intro-track anyway.
  17. Haha not much :laugh4:. It was just a stupid joke because North Korea has a special timezone that is always 30 minutes different than the rest of the world.
  18. The problem with a long Coldplay album is not the actual length but that it's more prone to be "filled up" with b-sides. I have absolutely no problem with an album of 18 songs when the quality stays above a certain level. What we have seen with X&Y was that some weaker songs were added that didn't belong on the album. In this regard the decision to put Ink and True Love on GS seems even more misguided because of how short the album is. At least on X&Y they added weaker songs, but on GS they replaced the good songs with weak songs. Saying that an album gets boring after a certain amount of minutes is nonsense. When the music is good, the album should be as long as it needs to be.
  19. This is the first time we've got a really plausible date ahead of us. On the other hand I'm going to be really disappointed if the single is not released next week. The constant expectation and disappointment is too much for me.
  20. But what does "bass drops" mean? Like in dubstep when the bass drops? Or just a prominent bass line in the way of Magic? Favourite 1st single: Speed of Sound
