[2015-11-09] Coldplay (Chris & Jonny) talk A Head Full of Dreams on Magic's Green Room
I love all the lyrics of the Viva era but these are among my favourites: "When the future's architectured By a carnival of idiots on show You'd better lie low." "People talking without speaking Trying to take what they can get [...] Don't you wish that life could be as simple As fish swimming round in a barrel When you've got the gun?"

Up&Up
Actually I remember Chris posting Cast No Shadow around a year ago on their facebook page. He wrote that everytime he listens to that song he is reminded that there is still room to improve his song-writing. So maybe when he posted this, he was already working with Noel and we'll get something similar :awesome:

Adventure Of A Lifetime
Same here! And no, you're not reading too much into it, I agree with everything you've said. In all seriousness, how can people do this? I can't listen to a song repeatedly more than 5 times or else I get desensitized and can't appreciate it anymore.

[2015-11-09] Coldplay (Chris & Jonny) talk A Head Full of Dreams on Magic's Green Room
10:14 Seriously? Chris says he has been working harder on the lyrics on the last few albums. :o I guess he should start trying less again. :laugh3:

[2015-11-06] Coldplay Performing at TFI Friday (20:00 UK time)
The video posted above is offline but I've found another one, although the quality is pretty bad. [video=youtube;caJD9wR3Skg]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=caJD9wR3Skg Is it just me or is Chris singing out of tune?

#AOAL - Please post your review
If you say it's the biggest let down of the recent years, do you mean that AOAL is worse than PoC, Ink, ASFOS, and Amazing Day? Come on, Coldplay has done far worse since MX than this song. When I look at the mediocrity of MX and GS, AOAL is definitely a step up. I would have also wished for them to stay true to their roots but we need to be honest here: For the past 4 years Coldplay have been a pop band. As great as it would be, it's just unrealistic to expect them to suddenly release a second AROBTTH. And when I look at the mainstream music market Daft Punk are a far better choice to emulate than Katy Perry & Co. I'm not saying AOAL is the greatest thing ever. Sure the lyrics are super-cheesy and the woohoos at the end are annoying, but overall it's got a nice groove to it. IMO much better than Magic or Amazing Day. 7/10 from me.

Hymn for the Weekend
When did that happen? Do you have a source on that?

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
This hits the nail on the head! What's up with crazy hippie wives who need to get their hands into their husbands music? I know one shouldn't judge before hearing the actual song, but I honestly can't imagine Paltrow making a good contribution, let alone singing.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
What's up with all these music fascists here? Let people like what they want. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. If I like rock, I like rock. If I like the new song, I like it, basta. No one should be forced to leave a forum that was specifically made to share different opinions on Coldplay's music. Also, as an Oldplayer, I can say that I like the new song. I don't love it but it's good.

Hymn for the Weekend
My prediction: Hymn for the Weekend will be the 2nd single possibly featuring Noel Gallagher and it will be a real stadium rock hymn. Reasons for this: The sticker on the album says "including AOAL and HFTW" so it's very probable that it's the 2nd single. Moreover, AOAL has been reported to be not the song for which they recorded the music video in India. We know that the 2nd single is usually the "big" one, so it fits in with the big colourful music video. Also this "India music video" song has been described as being a rock song, but you can hardly call AOAL rock. If this song is therefore a rock song it would make sense to be the collaboration with the Brit-Rock legend Noel Gallagher.

Adventure Of A Lifetime
That's right but Guy was never away.

Adventure Of A Lifetime
Obviously it's not what Oldplayers are craving for. It reminds me quite a bit of Daft Punk and Pharell Williams, but that isn't anything bad. I personally like this song, it's lightyears ahead of Amazing Day or ASFOS. It's really groovy and has a positive vibe to it. And most of all: WE GOT JONNY AND WILL BACK!!

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Wow it's got a nice groove. It's not "old alternative rock" Coldplay but I like this MUCH better than ASFOS. It reminds me a bit of Daft Punk and Pharrell Williams, which I both like. I need to give it a couple more listens though...
