  1. That gif was from a SNL skit i believe
  2. Here try these! For Genesis, Firth of Fifth and I Know What I Like (In Your Wardrobe) would be a good start. But there are so many good songs, my favourites being Supper's Ready, (a very long song) Dancing With the Moonlit Knight and The Musical Box. They are my favourite band of this time period. Both from the album Selling England by the Pound. [video=youtube;SD5engyVXe0] [video=youtube;y1tFQMjc-IE] Yes is a fantastic band as well. Their album Close to the Edge is one of the best I've ever heard. Start with these two tunes if you like. From the album Fragile. [video=youtube;SkGzjIq4aZI] From the album Close to the Edge. [video=youtube;FZcGc-nbLco] King Crimson is harder to get into, but they're a fantastic band and arguably the most talented out of the three. I would strongly recommend listening to their debut album In the Court of the Crimson King. The proper studio versions of songs from that album aren't on YouTube last time I checked, (except Moonchild which I put below) but obtaining it won't be difficult. My favourites are I Talk to the Wind, The Court of the Crimson King and Epitaph. Here are some great King Crimson tunes I could find on YouTube. Early stuff...from In the Court of the Crimson King. [video=youtube;09iNZODJEMo] From In the Wake of Poseidon. They made some really heavy songs and nice acoustic songs like this. [video=youtube;mpZqSg6U53E] A classic from their last album of the seventies, Red. [video=youtube;zvz8jtZ3f5s] If you actually check some of this stuff out, let me know if you like any of it. I love it! I don't wanna get sick of it though, so I won't listen to it too much :D
  3. If Coldplay went prog that would probably be sensational. But they won't so I'll enjoy my regular prog bands and Coldplay as they are. I like Pink Floyd and lots of music around that time. I would suggest trying out some more seventies English prog bands such as Genesis, Yes and King Crimson, it's great! My favourite PF albums are Dark Side of the Moon, The Wall, and Animals. My fav songs are Time, Money, Hey You, Us and Them, and Comfortably Numb. I'll try to get a bit deeper into their catalogue :)

But why not spell out the whole world? Too lazy? Or wanna be cool? Loool
  5. The Blue Room EP: See You Soon & High Speed Parachutes: Yellow & Don't Panic A Rush of Blood To The Head: Clocks & In My Place X&Y: Square One & Talk Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends: Viva la Vida & Death and All His Friends/The Escapist Prospekt's March: Glass of Water & Rainy Day Mylo Xyloto: Paradise & Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall Ghost Stories: Midnight & Always In My Head A Sky Full of Stars EP: Ghost Story & All Your Friends
  6. They've done a snippet of Best Song Ever and some other 1D songs on multiple occasions iirc. I really don't wanna look for that shit on YouTube. View at your own risk ;)
  7. I would be in utter disbelief if they ever played the songs you mentioned or some of my favourites: Square One, White Shadows or Low again. Instead they'll be doing One Direction covers which is.....fine. Right? [emoji53]
  8. Coldplay's general dislike for X&Y actually pisses me off. They've been too harsh on it...
  9. Yeah, things are just really quiet at the moment. But it's not unusual for a time like this. I would be super stoked if they unveiled the artwork soon, I just hope it's not as bad as the title (gotta be my least favourite Coldplay album title)
  10. We probably won't get anything until Global Citizen. I bet the single will be premiered then. But hopefully I'm wrong because I'm getting so impatient.

I like the band because Chris has a great voice and they've managed to stay interesting with every album. Perfect pop rock.
  12. I actually loved A Spell A Rebel Yell since the first listen. That one synth melody is probably what I like most about the song. Lyrics aren't bad either. Viva b-sides are so good...
  13. There will probably be no LP8. At least not for another 6 years :D AHFOD better be good
  14. Are they really in Vancouver? Jesus. Muse, then U2, and now Coldplay are here (possibly) I never saw Muse or U2, maybe third times a charm and I'll run into the guys. :D
  15. Hmm...
  16. This is great! Well done
  17. The Goldrush. Just ghastly.
  18. Coldplay, please pull a Beyonce.
  19. Hmm http://m.billboard.com/entry/view/id/134653
  20. 1971 was a damn good year. I'd put Yes' Fragile (which isn't even on your list) as #1.
  21. ^ great to relive that. Can't believe Chris got to sing with the same guy who wore those crazy costumes on stage in the early seventies. Legend. Peter Gabriel and Genesis were something very special...if you're interested in seeing some prog insanity I would recommend checking the second song out. Or the whole thing. [video=youtube;_FBcz3tBH74]
  22. Nice work! The first one looks like Muse's 2nd Law album art.
