  1. local band called The Hair, got 8 songs avaliable for download on their website, i think they're gonna get a record deal soon. With luck they could be reasonably big, they are very unique.
  2. Or actually... Run Lola Run - also 8/10
  3. Mocks Are Pointless.
  4. Unfortunatley a very true comment I just don't understand. WHY? How do you get a kick out of that?
  5. I'd much rather have Stevie Gerrard than Ronaldinho. Best midfielder in the world today is our Stevie...
  6. no my local oxfam doesn't sell them yet either...
  7. Darts really addictive, start watching highlights at 11.30 didn't get to bed til about 2.30 Tried playing the other day cos pub quiz was called off Was ok until we had to finish on a double. Took us 40 minutes for any one of five of us to hit that double... :embarrased:
  8. Channel 4 is quite good... I'm surprised channel 5 is still in business I don't actually know anyone who watches it, or any well known programmes that would entice anyone to watch it. Just full of cheap war documentaries, ditched 1960s cop series and, erm, other stuff :o
  9. They are ace, have heard they are even better live, can't wait til their next tour in the UK.
  10. they are very very good. Proof is an ace song.
  11. thats what quite a lot of people have told me, which has stopped me from buying second album so far... Youth... is quite good, but i don't know whether i could take two whole albums of that style of music :o
  12. its a good song. Although it is still being overplayed by all radio stations so it is starting to lose its appeal with me...
  13. Oasis are past it now. The only reason they still sell albums is because of the arrogant bullshit Noel spouts. they have lost their drummer, are producing the album themselves. Unless they shock the world by a change of style then the new album will be like the previous ones. Stuck in the rut of brit-pop, trying to recreate something that is dead and buried, simply cos they aren't talented/can't be bothered to do anything else... :evil2:
  14. I'll second that!
  15. We Never Change is prob my favourite, alongside Spies. I love depressing songs, or so called depressing songs. I think Spies especially is quite uplifting at the end. As for Sparks, i go through phases with this song. It's a really good album track, but never one i'd choose if i just had time for one song.
  16. Went for Warning Sign. It's tough... spent longer thinkning about this than my university choices!
  17. Aaaaah! But i think it must be wrong. Was only a few days ago they were def saying March. AND, May 24th is a Tuesday, and albums are always out on a Monday, so it must be wrong. If not i will cry myself to sleep.
  18. I agree Amnesiac was a bigger change in direction, but both albums are from the same recording sessions. Most of the Uk press regards Kid A as their change in direction really. I didn't neccesarily mean they would release a record that sounded like Kid A (with synth and stuff), just merely if they would dramatically change their direction and style to something else, and shock a lot of people. There would be no point in doing something that sounded like Kid A, cos it wouldn't be that surprising as Radiohead have already done it.
  19. Yeah, i agree. Does anyone have the DVD? His hair seems to change dramatically on each section on it! Half The Fun (UK Bonus track) is my current favourite
  20. they are actually really good live, saw them supporting Travis back in March. They were great then, and they were only just breaking through. Tom has an amazing voice. I agree with some comments - the album did seem a bit samey at first. However, give it time, is my best advice. I came back to it, and i realise why so many people love it now. Not as good as Snow patrol or Thirteen Senses though. n x
  21. Go Or Go Ahead - Rufus Wainwright Thank you for this bitter knowledge Guardian angels who left me stranded It was worth it, feeling abandoned Makes one hardened but what has happened to love You got me writing lyrics on postcards Then in the evening looking at the stars But the brightest of the planets is Mars Then what has happened to love So I will opt for the big white limo Vanity fairgrounds and rebel angels You can't be trusted with feathers so hollow Your heaven's inventions, steel eyed vampires of love You see over me, I'll never know What you have shown to other eyes Go or go ahead and surprise me Say you've lead the way to a mirage Go or go ahead and just try me Nowhere's now here smelling of junipers Fell of the hay bales, I'm over the rainbows But of Medusa kiss me and crucify This unholy notion of the mythic power of love Look in her eyes, look in her eyes Forget about the ones that are crying Look in her eyes, look in her eyes Forget about the ones that are crying Go or go ahead
  22. I love Sia - she is great!
  23. Rufus Wainwright - Waiting For A Dream
