  1. Not at all :) (also thanks for the PM, sorry, I only just saw it :) )
  2. Brilliant video :D Can't believe how much Guy spoke! But yeah, they are completely different people now. Also, not to make things weird, but when that video was filmed, Guy's current fiance was 9. Here's the brilliant Jonny Goes Jazz video, which I somehow only saw for the first time yesterday. [video=youtube;XDZKN4ftzns]
  3. Ooh very nice! :P It doesn't really matter so long as you're in, does it? Personally hoping for some great oldies like Til Kingdom Come, The Scientist, Don't Panic and Life is for Living. I can't wait to see what they have in store for us
  4. Can't wait for tonight :D Our tickets finally arrived on Monday, thank god. Where will you be sitting Marc?
  5. Here's the full lyrics from the image above: On and on You're told which side you're on You're forced, you're thrown To become to the scythe to cut the corn And all your friends they ride into the sunset Fly into the sunset and away they go All your friends they ride into the sunset Fly into the sunset and away they're thrown Into the fire Ten below The call comes on the radio Over you go And in red now all the rivers flow The poppies grow All your friends they ride into the sunset Fly into the sunset and away they go All your friends they ride into the sunset Ride into the sunset and they're taken home Into the fire Open fire! Open fire!
  6. Yeah, you've done really well, well done! I just took whatever I could, and am in the Circle. It's miles away but I don't care :D
  7. They're the ring just outside the Arena seats. See the plan here.
  8. I got mine about three or four minutes after getting off the phone.
  9. I did exactly the same thing! See you there!
  10. Seriously, ring the 01159934400 number! I rang it at about 16.02 and got a pair straight away after listening to the "call will cost 10p a minute" crap. It's a see tickets number. Good luck!

Hi, I don't spose anyone would mind pointing me in the direction either please? Thanks in advance! :D
  13. Without wanting to sound too pretentious, I think that being a long-term Coldplay fan means an investment more in the band members and their personalities than their music. Although there are obvious continuous threads throughout all their albums, the tone and mood of each album is so dramatically disparate that you can't like all of Coldplay's music because it fits into one genre; it doesn't. All of the 1975's singles sound identical to me, you can even sing the lyric "she got a boyfriend anyway" (the main refrain of one of their earlier songs, Sex) over the choruses of most of their later tracks and it fits perfectly. This isn't the case with Coldplay. They don't consciously reinvent themselves with each album, but they explore a different aspect of their personalities each time. To bring it back to the main point, that's what a long term fan is investing in. I think it's an important distinction to make. Of course, there's always going to be songs or parts of songs you don't enjoy, but there's always bits of people you don't like. The point is you ignore it for the good stuff which you do like. The bad bits don't necessarily cancel out the good bits, but make you appreciate them more. That's why I think each album has to be judged as a single entity. Of course, you can rank them by preference, but it can be quite hard to compare them directly. If any of that made any sense, I'll be happy. Sorry for the interruption. As you were.
  14. Just incredible. Incredible.
  15. 1. Midnight = Fly On / O 3. Ink 4. Always in My Head = Another's Arms 6. True Love 7. Magic 8. Oceans 9. A Sky Full of Stars ASFOS isn't an overly dire song in itself, but it doesn't really belong on this album. Even ETIAW would be more appropriate.
  16. Yes, me too if possible please :) Thank you very much in advance!
  17. HOLY SHIT. Are we getting Fly On and O? Oh Zane, I love you.
  18. OMG ALWAYS IN MY HEAD This is a top tune already.
  19. My Midnight 7" came today :D It's beautiful!
  20. Oceans is confirmed - see here. Look at the "Latest Tracks Played on the BBC" box on the right. Second is Oceans, Later with Jools Holland. It lists ASFOS just above it, and Magic just below it, and no other tracks from that show. So, it could just be those three, but if there is a fourth, I think AIMH is most likely.
  21. They played Magic, had a short break and chatted a bit with Radio 1 presenters Fearne Cotton and Greg James (who's a massive fan) and then played Oceans and that was it.

This is just phenomenal. I love the title as well, in my opinion it would be a better album title, but I say that without hearing the album (plus I'm usually wrong anyway ;) ). My only complaint is that it barely features Guy. I love the 'radar' noise too. Here's a new SoundCloud link that (at time of writing) is active: https://soundcloud.com/clubcoldplayer/oceans-coldplay-live
  23. Love it, amongst their best! Chris looks great in that costume, but you're right, I did miss Guy, Jonny and Will. Watching the Sport Relief / Sunrise performances of the song, I hate to say it but they did seem a little like the Chris Martin Quartet. Still, this makes me like the song a lot more and I hope it helps spearhead this era's success.
  24. Ooh, hello there... [video=youtube;Qtb11P1FWnc]
