1. Welcome to Coldplaying! I hope you have a fun time here and that you get to see them next year. :)
2. I'm sorry to hear that. :( You knew something was broken and you tried to fix it any way you could... but sometimes it's best to let it fly away. :( I understand if the pain is too much and you need to head back home. You're family is there and you've also got some friends here at Coldplaying... as well as 4 British lads who you got to see live three times during your stay in the U.S. :) Just remember, it may feel like midnight, but the dawn will always follow the darkness.
3. And the band insists it's the greatest song they've ever written. ;) I can't remember who said this a couple weeks ago but I remember somebody here mentioning that it might be a bonus disc on a deluxe version of AHFOD.
4. I think it'll fit the AHFOD vibes but it will have a slightly different sound. Think of it like Atlas and Ghost Stories; they have similar vibes because Atlas was originally supposed to be on Ghost Stories, but the lyrical themes are different and Atlas sounds a bit more like "Oldplay." If they want to play this new song live, they probably don't want something dark and sad. It will need to fit the more celebratory mood that they are trying to go for with each concert. If you ask me, I kind of want it to sound like that funky soundcheck jam somebody recorded a few weeks ago.
5. That's actually a really pretty version even though it's so short. I think it would be cool if Chris were to do a solo piano version like that with the full song.
6. Something tells me we're gonna hear a new song very soon. After all, Roadie 42 posted this: Mobile Link: https://www.instagram.com/p/BJeUKbDD-F7/
7. I almost wonder if one reason why he continues to feel that way about Coldplay is the collaboration with Noel on Up&Up...
8. Didn't Coldplay once cover that song in concert? Or am I mistaken? :D Either way, there's no denying they were fans back in the early days. Travis must have been a big inspiration. Anyways, I'm listening to Identikit by Radiohead right now before I go to bed.
9. Tonight was open mic night at a café on my university campus and a girl played a cover of The Scientist!!! Welcome back!!!! :D I hope you had a fun time. :) And yes, apparently they are working on a new song unless we are somehow misinterpreting something. :P
10. I was watching some random show on a TV in one of the lounges of my dorm and one of the characters looked so much like Jonny. It was strange! Too bad I already can't remember what the show was called because it really didn't interest me (outside of the fact that one of the characters resembled Jonny).
11. Have fun!!! :D I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed my first Coldplay concert. The Rose Bowl looks like a wonderful stadium for a concert and I hope you get a nice rarity as the request. :) Just out of curiosity, did you request a song for tonight's show? If so, best of luck to you in getting it chosen. :)
12. I'm expecting the same thing. After all, that's what they did with the MX tour between 2011 and 2012. They ditched songs like Lost! and Politik and added songs like Princess Of China, Warning Sign, Lovers In Japan, and DLIBYH.
13. I haven't even listened to the show yet, but that right there is already one of my favorite live quotes. :laugh3:
14. Haha I think that's to be expected :D Back in the old days, Chris would say something before they started playing the song, which kept the band from having to stop. But now Chris will just suddenly stop them and tell the audience to cheer for Jonny, haha.
15. Well, it looks like a nice setlist. Not really anything out of the ordinary, but they did play GPASUYF. :D I'm probably gonna listen to the show tomorrow. I'm really interested in hearing tonight's version of Everglow with just Chris and Jonny. They seem to have lost interest in playing the full band version, so maybe this is a nice compromise between that and the solo piano version that they've done since Glastonbury.
16. It looks like the request was Don't Panic... of course. :/ Not that I have anything against the song itself, but come on now. Look at all these gems people are requesting because they genuinely want to hear those songs!
17. I don't think I can make it either so I would really appreciate if somebody records it... :)
18. Come on Coldplay, I know you can do this! Time to break the cycle of Trouble, Don't Panic, In My Place, etc. I might die of happiness if they play any of these other songs! Well, they already did Strawberry Swing a couple months ago, but the others would be amazing choices. Imagine if they were to play Gravity again. The last time they did that, the song hadn't even been released yet!
19. Hi there, Nicole! Welcome to Coldplaying. :) I'm so glad you decided to join us here and I hope you have a lot of fun!
20. A Head Full Of Dreams :)
21. I kind of wish this were an actual Coldplay song. It really does borrow some of those Oldplay elements... let's hope it inspires Chris. :P
22. Best music video from Coldplay in a while! This is a perfect representation of what this particular era of their career is all about. The Charlie Chaplin speech during the Colour Spectrum intro is just wonderful and touching. The whole video brought back memories of my awesome first Coldplay concert... That part reminded me of the Fix You video where Chris starts running and randomly runs into the stadium to perform the outro with the band.
23. Well, I finally moved in to my dorm today so I got to put up my wonderful Coldplay poster! I'm not sure why it looks crooked in the picture because in real life it doesn't... anyways here it is: My roommate saw it and immediately told me he's a Coldplay fan. :D He's not a massive fan like I am, but he enjoys more Coldplay songs than just the typical hits (Paradise, Viva, HFTW, etc).
24. Hi there Leyanna, welcome to Coldplaying. :) I'm so glad you enjoyed your first Coldplay concert and I hope you have a fun time here. :D
25. "I could feel it go down Bittersweet I could taste in my mouth Silver lining the clouds Oh and I I wish that I could work it out"
