LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
I'm not sure I am going to listen, since I want some of the album to be a surprise :p But if I do end up listening, I think it will be HFTW but I want it to be Everglow. Both are possible, and I'm assuming the song will be available for download soon afterward. Midnight was only a single for Record Store Day but it was still released for download prior to GS so Everglow is still a possibility.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
First day sales have more to do with reviews, promotion, and pre-album release singles than the actual subjective quality of the album. So, don't worry too much about Adele. However, did Ghost Stories even sell 300,000 copies in the first week? :surprised:

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Well if a cat has died, it is kind of, well, a dead cat by then. So, I don't think it could wake up and suddenly sing "You make me feel... like I'm alive again! And transgender!" :p

Me too. A hidden track ought to stay hidden. :)

X Marks The Spot [HIDDEN TRACK]
I'm going to hold off on listening to this snippet. I would rather keep the song a mystery until I hear the full album. It is supposed to be hidden, after all. ;)

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
I think Zane Lowe's show normally airs at 10 a.m. Eastern U.S. time, which is 5 p.m. UK time. So, expect Coldplay sometime around then or maybe a bit later. :) I do wish that we had an exact time...

Even I don't really know. Someone said something about hoping that Fun "doesn't have shit lyrics." Look what that turned into! :p

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Don't worry, it's over. My apologies for joining in all that poop-themed nonsense... The whole collection of snippets, except for Hymn For the Weekend, sounds great to me. The production might be a little overdone on some tracks, as you suggested for Everglow, but there aren't any moments where it gets to be too much. I'm liking the musical diversity. There's a U2-esque arena rock track, an indie pop track, a dancey R&B song, a soulful ballad, a disco-influenced song, a darker X&Y-ish song, a calm, poetic interlude, an experimental organ-based track, a somewhat acoustic and ambient piece that sounds like Aiko, and an homage to Oasis. That is quite a lot of variety, so even though I'm unsure about some of it, I have a feeling I'm going to forgive those moments and enjoy the album as a whole just because they are taking that idea of nonconformity to heart. :)

Kaleidoscope
They should've had Guy read the poem just so he could finally have a lead vocal part in a Coldplay track.

Hey there, greetings from Finland
Hi Tero, and welcome to Coldplaying! They usually come to my city but on the MX tour they didn't, so I know how you feel. Hopefully it, as well as somewhere in Finland, will show up on the tour schedule!

Hymn for the Weekend
These are exactly my thoughts, though I suppose I may have gotten a little carried away when I completely bashed the snippet earlier. It is different, which I guess gives it some originality in comparison to Coldplay's other work, but... I simply don't like the style of music. Beyonce is not the problem, just like how I think POC needs Rihanna in order to connect with the themes of MX. The generic R&B hip-hop sound is what I dislike. I want to like HFTW, but the snippet basically represents everything I wished this band would never turn into. I'm thankful that the whole album is not like this.

A Head Full Of Dreams (Title track)
The lyrics aren't bad to me, but I can't help but want a lot more by the time the song ends. It's too short! I really like it, and I actually don't mind the snippet, but it just needs to be longer. By the way, I'm hearing a lot of Pride (In The Name of Love) in the riff as well. The teaser clip of the bridge and a bit of the last chorus is where I really notice the similarity. Listen to Jonny's riff there and then listen to The Edge's guitar playing in Pride.

I only know who Tove Lo is because of Coldplay, which definitely says something about my musical tastes, but I have taken a look at her music in the past week and it is some of the better pop out there right now. Her voice isn't bad by any means, so hopefully her addition will only make Fun better.

A Head Full Of Dreams (Title track)
I'm not sure if I'm the only one who has noticed this, but all of a sudden after hearing today's clip, the bridge of this song really reminds me of the bridge in Major Minus.
