  1. Ghost Story Fly On barely beats Ghost Story in my opinion.
  2. After reading the Wall Street Journal's interview with Chris, I am really convinced that they are now at the Zooropa/Pop stage of their career. U2 couldn't have sounded more different on those albums in comparison to their 80's work. There was this drive to go above and beyond with experimentation while staying true to the themes of their past music. Coldplay are doing the same thing. They're just having a great time stretching their musical limits and doing things they would've never dreamt of 10 years ago. Same! I discovered U2 because out of all the bands my parents loved, they were the one band that I for whatever reason enjoyed hearing as a young kid. My early memories of listening to music were mostly of hearing All That You Can't Leave Behind, The Unforgettable Fire, and Achtung Baby playing in the car. I suppose I was bred to be a fan, so they are probably tied with Coldplay as my favorite artist.
  3. For some reason my first thoughts after reading the description from Chris were that this is going to be a weird electronic track almost as experimental as A Spell A Rebel Yell with lyrics as strange as Chinese Sleep Chant.
  4. The minions read the thoughts floating around in the student's head full of dreams and replaced them with their own twisted logic.
  5. Midnight I love Midnight and I've always considered it Coldplay's most daring moment but it's not quite as beautiful as Ghost Story and Fly On.
  6. Sadly the drama isn't over yet... Two threats were made to flights en route to Paris today and a friendly football match in Hannover, Germany was evacuated due to a threat. :sad2: #KeepPraying #PeaceForParis
  7. I haven't heard AOAL on the radio very much, but then again I don't listen to the radio as much as I used to. So much Adele and 1D lately, and not enough Coldplay! Congratulations on your 1,000th post! :awesome:

  10. Welcome to Coldplaying, Sehn! :awesome: To upload a profile picture, go under Settings on top of the page, and then scroll down the left side until you see Edit Avatar. That will take you to a page where you can upload an image (there is a size limit but I can't remember what it is). I hope that helps! :)
  11. Welcome to Coldplaying! :happy2:
  12. Yes, they will. No offense to Adele, but... I don't think I could listen to her music for 1-2 hours straight, live or not. Her voice is powerful, but as @ov3la said, it gets boring fast. I'd like to hear more variety.
  13. I couldn't help but cry while listening to Yellow either. Remember the soft piano intro on the MX tour? This reminded me of that, except the whole song sounded that way. Pure emotion. Actually, every song put at least a few tears in my eyes.
  14. Bon Jovi - Lost Highway
  15. Coldplay - Everything's Not Lost
  16. Welcome to Coldplaying! :) Sorry I'm a few days late.
  17. You mean Twisted Magical, right? Because that is really amazing! I would die of happiness if they were to play Clocks like that again. :)
  18. I forgot to mention last week that I heard AOAL during a Denver Broncos TV broadcast. It appears that CBS here in America is using it for promo purposes. That really intrigues me because I read once that supposedly NBC got a studio version of Charlie Brown a couple months in advance and used it during sports broadcasts. I know how you feel... there's a song I've heard in a TV commercial a few times that sounds suspiciously like Miracles and is exactly how I am imagining some of AHFOD will sound.
  19. Didn't Another's Arms leak in the Philippines a few weeks before everything else due to some iTunes mishap? I seem to remember that happening but I'm not sure if my mind is just making things up.

  21. Thank you for posting this... I couldn't help but get emotional while I read it. Stay strong, we are all a family. The sick bastards who did this may have taken 129 lives, but they can never take away our love, encouragement, kindness, and respect, which give light to this dark world. "Leave a light, a light on..."
  22. I wasn't yet a registered member of the forums when the GS leak hunt was in progress, but for a lurker like me, it was fun to watch.

  24. I hear it! I think I also hear Beyonce in the chorus, specifically the part where both Chris and Will are singing "alive again."
