Me too, except only 10 or 11 songs will be on the actual album. There will probably be a couple of bonus tracks on the side, similar to what they did with GS. It would be nice to have the deluxe edition available worldwide this time around. Everyone other than North America had to wait for the ASFOS EP before getting to purchase the bonus tracks.

I did suggest Denver on the tour cities thread. In Phil's Coldplaying interview early this year, he said he would read the suggestions!!!! Maybe he took notice.... probably not because there were so many others, but you never know.

I know, right? They are probably at least a bit familiar with Coldplay so I do wonder if those titles were Coldplay-inspired. There's a difference between similarity and copying, though.

Somewhat off-topic: Imagine Dragons have a song called Amsterdam and another one called Trouble! Perhaps Wildfire is a sign of things to come... :D

I sure hope that I can finally see them on the AHFOD tour. The closest major city to where I live is Denver, Colorado, and they completely skipped it on the MX tour after visiting at least once on every previous tour. :angry: The tour will probably visit arenas but I dream of seeing the band at the famous Red Rocks Amphitheater. I would love an arena show for the atmosphere that a huge crowd provides, but a show at a somewhat smaller outdoor venue like Red Rocks would be beautiful in its own way. The last Coldplay gigs at Red Rocks were on the AROBTTH tour. The Live 2003 tour diary covers one of the two shows as well the band's adventures on nearby Mount Evans. Jonny makes the mistake of running to the summit from the band's car; Will unsuccessfully tries to convince him that the lack of oxygen at the high altitude will make running a problem. "The man's an idiot..." :D Then, before one of the gigs, there's an awkward moment where a security guard thinks Jonny is a trespasser rather than a member of the band. :lol:

Haha false alarm! I don't listen to Demi Lovato either so of course I thought @HowCouldIForget was referring to Coldplay until I scrolled down. :lol: I will listen to Wildfire, though, just to get a glimpse of Stargate's work. Wildfire would make sense as the title of a Coldplay song, though. It reminds me of Sparks, Up in Flames, and the lyrics of POC, AROBTTH, Charlie Brown, and True Love. Each refers to sparks, fire, flames, etc...

That sounds good to me. Yeah, we might as well wait until all of the AHFOD singles have been released. We can almost guarantee that the songs would fare differently after a period of time and there would be none of the "new song bias" or "euphoria" as you put it. #SaveSinglesEliminationGame

Congratulations! Wow, 3,000 posts, that's about 500 or so per month on average since you joined the forums in April. I've been here since last September and I don't even have 1,000 posts yet. I still have such a long way to go. :lol: But first, I DO want to follow death and all of his friends. ;) I actually wanted Cemeteries of London to win before the Viva Elimination even started, but I've changed my mind. I want Violet Hill to win, followed by Death And All His Friends.

I think Will has real drums in the studio so he can experiment with rhythms as well as record. He could develop the rhythm of a song on a real drum set and then see how it sounds on the electronic drums (or vice versa). Then, the band can decide on what suits the song best. So, electronic drums aren't necessarily gone.

I agree. The Viva Elimination is getting all the attention. I would rather not go advertising a game in another game's thread so we ought to wait. I have a question... if the new single happens to drop before this game returns, should it be added to the game? For the sake of completeness it would be nice to include it but on the other hand it would not have the chance to prove itself against every other single.

After a lot of thought, I've decided to vote for Cemeteries of London. DAAHF is just so... beautiful. Chris' piano playing is top-notch and once the song gets upbeat the whole band gets into this groove that can't be beat by Cemeteries of London. As for Violet Hill, well... has it even received a single vote since the first round?!? I had absolutely no idea. I guess I just assumed you were male because someone referred to you as a male before and you made nothing of it. Oh well, my apologies for my ignorance. :( It's not like I really care what gender everyone is here. In the fanbase of any band, gender shouldn't matter.

It seems likely that the new single will come very soon. When exactly? That's the mystery. ;) "A few days" could mean today, next Friday, or anytime in between. We hadn't yet had such encouraging news from a proven reliable source so I think this is really happening!

I do think we'll get Politik and a couple of non-hits like Don't Panic every now and then so I'm optimistic about the setlists. Here's my current guess, based on what they've done in the past as well as how AHFOD will apparently sound. 1. LP7 2. Politik 3. In My Place 4. Yellow 5. LP7 6. ETIAW 7. LP7 8. Violet Hill B-stage: 9. Magic 10. LP7 11. The Scientist Back to A-stage: 12. Charlie Brown 13. Viva La Vida 14. Don't Panic or Trouble 15. Paradise 16. Amazing Day 17. LP7 18. LP7 lead single On a few rare occasions, songs like Daylight, Strawberry Swing, or Warning Sign may find their way into the setlist as well. I also have a feeling that the shows may be a little longer than in past tours, but that might just be wishful thinking.

On a different note, I'm going to be away for most of tomorrow so if I come back in the evening and the forum is lagging or going crazy, I'll know that there's been AHFOD news or a surprise single release!
