Random Coldplay thoughts...
I was thinking about how people constantly say how Coldplay's lyrics never make sense. I can see what they mean, but at the same time it's not like a meaning can be instantly spoonfed to you. Of course something may sound meaningless when all the data is dispersed and not linked. The connections make it meaningful, not the concrete black and white characters on the sheet. Chris may not use the most eloquent language in his lyricism, but if you manage to make networks of meanings and create a tapestry of ideas to see the BIG PICTURE then maybe it might start to make sense. People sometimes say the same thing about Radiohead too, because the randomness of the language and the indirect message can sometimes turn off people from really looking into it. So maybe getting the cogs turning up there just might allow you to see some incredible things. Everything is relative, even if the connection is so wildly abstract. To put it bluntly, actually start thinking and it'll make sense. *sorry if this is too long*

Random Coldplay thoughts...
Oh the truth in this statement. Nobody that mentions them (unless they're on a show) seems to speak about the band in a good positive light. They have every right to their opinion, but because of everything that's happened in the past there is a stigma attached to favoring them that bothers the hell out of me. Run around screaming you love them and people would disapprove, shake their head, tease you and etc. Run around screaming you hate them (or if you just say "I like their old music only") and people would often agree. (This isn't always the case, but there seems to be a trend). If you like Justin Bieber, One Direction and Coldplay run around and scream it to the heavens!

Inspiring Coldplay lyrics...what's your favourite?
"I know the sun must set to rise" -Paradise This has the same idea.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
THIS NEEDS TO BE DONE I would suggest adding Justin Timberlake's Sexyback somewhere in the middle. Chris, Jonny and Will could sing it and play it as a surprise for Guy while he blushes in embarrassment and thinks about how he could bash Chris's head in with his bass. (because ya know this was originally Chris's idea not mine) *winks* *runs away*

Lorford's Antiques: At Home With Coldplay's Guy Berryman
Haha yeah. True. That's why they're called the nice guys. It's best to move on from the past... Then again... My eyes could be deceiving me... But they really don't look like they've had a lot of sex ha Lol

Inspiring Coldplay lyrics...what's your favourite?
Mine is mainly, "In the darkness, before the dawn" -Midnight I find myself repeating it consistently in grim situations. It reminded me of a part in a book I read, where the main character chose her own self respect over comfort with her unstable lover. She left him and that caused her to go into a period of emotional and physical suffering because she knew there was light at the end of the long dark tunnel she was going through. I learned that listening to your intuition won't get you the best immediate results, but it will give you a sense of peace in the long run. I often have trouble listening to myself, so I take this to heart.

Lorford's Antiques: At Home With Coldplay's Guy Berryman
I remember when Chris said that if Guy wasn't in Coldplay he would be in prison...huh. I'm honestly really curious to know what the hell made him say that lol. Maybe the excessive drinking? And about him talking in interviews, I don't think he's too lazy to speak. I'm the same way around big groups too. It's introversion I think.

Hymn for the Weekend is being criticised for misusing Indian culture (BBC)
I understand, but what I said wasn't really specific to Hymn for the Weekend, but in general for anything anyone does. That does sometimes seem to be the case, plenty of people seeing Westerners as spiteful, mean people when they're wearing the outfits of other cultures because of the West's history of oppression and cultural imperialism. It seems to be getting trickier and trickier to decipher the fairly destructive trends from good ones these days.

Hymn for the Weekend is being criticised for misusing Indian culture (BBC)
Sometimes telling what the true intention was could be difficult. And not everyone is going to have the same reaction. Sensitivity levels and all. In the end, you really can't satisfy everyone in cases like this. So if the true intention was genuinely to value the culture, and some people don't like it then shit (to the creators of course).

Random Coldplay thoughts...
Why is Coldplay such a bad choice, I literally saw tweets broadcasted on a newscast once (can't remember the exact one), and one tweet said that Coldplay couldn't perform for the super bowl because they "weren't American". What kind of ridiculous BS is that? What do they think Coldplay is going to do, come in with muskets and red coats? "The British are coming!!! The British are coming!!!" -fake quote from Paul Revere
