That's true. I can see why they would feel confused. I think they probably walked in to this knowing they would get a hater base but maybe not to the extent they ended up seeing. And then post- a rush of blood to the head era they seem to take plenty of hits because they were unprepared, but then they tried new methods to sort themselves out and have a new outlook. I think X and y maybe was turning point for them, and maybe sometime after was the start of "nice Chris" And yeah I love this Chris too

Yep totally. The concert was surreal and left me in a minor depression afterwords cause I had a desire for more time around their presence. like I was able to be myself and completely let myself go as a fan instead of keeping it sort of balled up for the "public". The time must have felt like a flash for you huh.

Chris is super handsy with everyone so it's probably hard to make the distinction Like he might as well have several arms to tickle every band member on stage

In my view I was all the way in the back. Like the VERY last rows of the nosebleed section, but I was sitting parallel to the stage but thankfully I had my binoculars and I was trying to hunt for them, and to be honest it was riveting yet frightening to realize that the band was made of human flesh and not pixels on a screen! Like I had to deal with the reality for a while. Lol Like everything felt like a flash before my eyes and now I just want to go back to the point it kinda kills me inside. But I guess I'll have to wait til the very next tour in a few years lol.

;-; It'll be ok. I totally understand what you mean. I've seen people go through this. You'll get through it. You just need to hang in there. Just know that everything happens for a reason. Things will get better eventually if you treat it as a learning experience. if it involves another person or even if it's an inner issue try to pinpoint the root cause even if it's difficult to find some level of closure and acceptance with yourself or them. and listening to music that resonates with you or just focusing on the simpler things in life that make it worth living will help you to ride out the storm. I hope for the best for you.

I tend to find anything from A Rush of Blood to the Head really blatantly sad as well as X and Y. And then I realized their whole discography was pretty much a whole lump of sad even in the jumpy positive lyrics if you look at it a certain way. "I'm feeling drunk and high" is temporary cause you always go back to "Square One" and confront the consequences of that fun distraction. The idealist with "A Head Full of Dreams" just dreams because reality is never enough. In the mind of a dreamer "Every Teardrop is a Waterfall" because they feel so deeply and as a result they're "screaming underneath". Dreamers never learn and "that's the hardest part".

No not at all Chris's lyrics can be quite cryptic. My interpretations never really hit the nail on the head either, but personally I think it means that we all have left our own mark in the world and whether it's positive or negative it was meant to happen and we should move on from it cause it's a part of the past... and we will be free like birds.
