I'm thinking about buying a new guitar, and I would like to know which guitar ( brand and model ) Chris martin plays in the live 2003 concert. Songs: God put a smile upon my face, Shiver, A rush of blood to the head. Does anybody know what guitar i'm talking about? In the Attachment you'll find a Picture of the guitar i'm talking about.

Hi everyone! I'm new to these forums:), and have a question about the Hal Leonard Coldplay books. (Sorry if there's already a thread about this) I've been wanting to get some Coldplay sheet music for awhile and I've read good and bad reviews about these books. From what I've seen of them online, they look like decent enough arrangements of the albums. Does anyone own these? What do you think of them? Any help would be appreciated, I'd hate to buy a book that's a ripoff.

According to the Coldplayer, the band's been experimenting with some atonal guitar affects along with other darker sounds. What are some of your opinions/thoughts on this? I for one am extremly excited. It's one of the most exciting things I've heard in awhile. I can't wait to hear stuff like this from them. It should be interesting, even if the band drop the atonal, but still keep going down the same road with some more obscure, darker sounds.

Do you guys think I should buy the Pretenders "Isle of View" book? It has 2000 miles in it and, then I could figure out how Chris plays. I listen to some of the pretenders. There's only probably a handful of songs that I like that are in the book. Thoughts.... It cost about 20.

  17. Alright, now before you ask, here's the song file (in m4a, sorry): http://rapidshare.de/files/15730267/The_Scientist__Storytellers_.m4a.html Okay, so I'm wondering about the tuning of the Piano for it. I have a Yamaha P-140 and I fiddled about with the tuning and was surprised to find that it sounded quite like the storytellers version, so I'm looking for the full tuning. I have the A's and G's correct but not the F's or C's or D's. If you listen to the song where he plays the last chord in the riff, there's that noticable jump between the A's and G's as well... How do I achieve it? Thanks for the help, and sorry if I didn't make it clear.

  19. Hi I will be doing a cover of "God Put a Smile Upon Your Face" with my band for the school talent show. Being the perfectionist that I am, I hope to sound as close as possible to the source material. However we cannot afford Johnny Buck's hot rod devilles. But other than that, I'd like to know what kind of effects are necessary for the lead guitar part. Also, I would appreciate some advices as to playing live infront of a huge audience. This is my first gig infront of an audience. haha wish us luck thanks.

does exist any playalonges of codplaysongs? I need some, with click.

  21. Only use the last 3 strings. -0---0-------0------0-------- (keep the E string on 0 the whole time) -3----3-------3------3------- (keep this string on 3 the whole time) -3-3---2-2----2-2----0-0------------- (tune this string down one so the 0 is F#) Remember to de-tune the first string to F#. Enjoy. And sorry if I explained it horribly, I'm no good at tabbing. You use the last 3 strings (the treble strings). Keep the last string (no. 6) on 0 the whole time, keep the 5th string on 3 the whole time, and do as it shows on the 4th string.

If you could play any instrument you wanted with great skill, what would you pick? Personally, I'd say the guitar :D . Its such a versitile instrument, plus the piano is cool too, but I'm already pretty good at it.
