Hey I've been learning Everything's Not Lost on piano recently and i'm having a lot of trouble figuring out this one chord at the start of the song that keeps recurring throughout the piece.. If you look at the sheet music the first chord is E, G#, B (right hand) followed by F natural, G#, B. The next chord is the one i'm having trouble with, it says on the sheet that it is E, G natural, A#, C double sharp... From what I read about double sharps its two half tones above the note, so i guess that C double sharp is actually D. I play that but with the left hand playing "F#" it sounds really off and i'm not sure what my mistake is! Are these the right notes?? Any help…

anyone have any help they could share? particularly using bullet end strings...

Hey Guys, Well I try to play some Coldplay songs on my piano every once and a while, but recently I've been messing around with my piano (a Yamaha Clavinova) and started incorporating the rest of the band into my songs! Anyways I've attached a couple of the one's I made, I didn't finish recording all of Hardest Part though. Tell me what you think! This board seemed like the most logical place to put this message. Hi. If anyone lives in the Milton Keynes/Luton area of bedfordshire, plays guitar, bass or drums, and wants to start up a band (and yes, I do want to do covers of coldplay, along with other similar music!) please email me @ [email protected], or just leave a reply . Im was hoping to get a band strted that plays coldplay-esque music, except most of the guitarists etc that i know are mettalica fans to the core. :lol: The rejects dont like MY kinda music. I play keyboards, bass, and i can sing. I also play cello, clarinet and sax, if they are really applicable. thnx

This idea just popped up in my head... Record yourself playing a part of a Coldplay song (bass, guitar, drums, whatever... maybe even maracas or something), and it has to be exactly like the song, or at least with the same tempo and structure and stuff. It has to be able to merge with the rest of the parts... And if we get enough parts for the same song, we can put them all together to kinda make a weird Coldplay cover. :D

this is how u play it, it is something like the name game: u write the name of an instrument. For example: Guitar then u write another instrument starting with the last letter of the word. For example : Recorder Pretty simple! Now...flute

haha i was just opening up this thread to know what song musicians in here perform that makes them think, "damn, i'm not too bad at this instrument after all" like being able to play the solo in Stairway, the rolling piano of Clocks, or the thunderous yet simple beauty of Victor Wooten's bass-amazing grace. not what song you enjoy playing the most, just the one that when you play, you feel shows your technical ability best.
