Hi everyone :) I'm writing this paper for university about TV shows (by that I mean recurrent fictional TV programs, comedy or drama - for example Lost, Dexter, Six Feet Under, Friends, Desperate Housewives, Big Bang Theory...) and I'm doing a kind of a survey. Ballabriggs at 16-1 gave the new generation of the McCain family victory in a race which will always be associated with their name when grinding out success in a bruising renewal of the John Smith's Grand National. Donald McCain, whose father trained Red Rum to win the race three times, successes which helped elevate the contest into a national institution, enjoyed his first victory in the world's most famous jumps race since taking over the licence from his father in 2006. But the race came not without its share of unwanted controversy, with two horses killed and the winning horse heading straight back to the racecourse stables after the race after showing signs of…

Commodore 64 comeback priced, dated by Geoff Gasior — 11:27 AM on April 7, 2011 The Commodore 64 is set to make a comeback. Seriously. Engadget is reporting that Commodore USA has started taking pre-orders for a new spin on the classic PC-in-a-keyboard concept. At first glance, little has changed, which may or may not be a good thing depending on how fondly you remember the original. Ooooh, just look at all that beigeness. Despite its retro exterior, the updated C64 comes with modern hardware, including a dual-core Atom D525, second-gen Ion graphics, and options for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a Blu-ray drive, and up to 1TB of storage and 2GB of RAM. The system is …

The killings took place at a busy shopping centre in the town of Alphen aan den Rijn, about 25km (15 miles) south-west of Amsterdam. The mayor of the town said the man opened fire with an automatic weapon and then shot himself. The gunman came from the town, was known to police and "almost certainly operated alone", said a prosecutor. Instead, she turned to a cow called Luna to make her riding dreams come true. Hours of training, and tons of treats, care and cajoling later, the results are impressive - not only do the two regularly go on long rides through the southern German countryside, they do jumps over a makeshift hurdle of beer crates and painted logs. Regina joked while sitting …

It premieres on Bravo! and Showtime tomorrow at 10:00. I watched the first episode (censored ) online and it was just so good. you all need to watch it. It's like the Sopranos, but on crack. A crack made out of PAPACY. Plus it has François Arnaud in it, and OH MY GOD HE'S SOOOOO FINEEEEEEEE :dead: I'm an unbelievable sucker for historical drama, though, so maybe others don't like it as much as me. They definitely should though.

  16. Are U.S. government microwave mind-control tests causing TV presenters' brains to melt down? By Tom Leonard Last updated at 12:03 AM on 2nd April 2011 Comments (106) Add to My Stories A bizarre spate of television presenters dissolving into on-air gibberish has sparked claims that the U.S. military could be to blame. A local police spokesman told the BBC the city was now under control and a number of people had been arrested. The UN has confirmed its workers were killed but has not said how…

  19. 12-Year-Old Genius Expands Einstein's Theory of Relativity, Thinks He Can Prove It Wrong Could Einstein's Theory of Relativity be a few mathematical equations away from being disproved? Jacob Barnett of Hamilton County, Ind., who is just weeks shy of his 13th birthday, thinks so. And, he's got the solutions to prove it. Barnett, who has an IQ of 170, explained his expanded theory of relativity — in a YouTube video. His mother Kristine Barnett, who admittedly flunked math, did what every other mother would do if her genius son started talking mathematical gibberish. She told him to explain the whole thing slowly while she taped her son explaining his take on the…
