http://www.nytimes.com/2011/05/29/business/economy/29view.html?_r=2 Driverless cars are a fantastic concept and invention, and I really hope they are made legal. It would improve peoples' lives immensely to free up the time they spend focusing on driving to doing more valuable things - learning a language, reading, socializing with friends! It might also solve a lot of our traffic problems.

To all my Canadian, European, etc friends: Please remember that these riots and police brutality are the endgame of all experiments in socialism. Because the incentive to produce is reduced, and the total consumption of resources is increased, socialism inevitably leads to shortages and reduction of quality-of-life. In America, we are quite familiar with socialism - it is a myth this country is more capitalist than others. Misunderstandi…

What are your peoples thoughts on torture? I mean of course it's not a good thing the idea of torturing another human being, but do you think it's justified in obtaining information? Personally I think that if a threat is imminent or dire that it has to be an option put on the table. I don't think that it should be used all the time or even somewhat frequently. However I think there has to be no doubts as to who they're interrogating. I think it should be a similar approach to going to war in that it's a last resort.

Cult of Apple: Why the must-have brand triggers brain reaction 'similar to religious devotion' By Jane Bunce Last updated at 10:04 PM on 20th May 2011 Fans of Apple products are known for their extreme devotion to the technology brand. But a new TV programme suggests that this desire for iPods and iPads can occasionally border on the religious.
