I was born on 21st April 1913 in Maidstone, Kent. I graduated from Imperial College London with First Class Honours in Physics. In 1960, I became a member of an Advisory Group on the state of British transport. The following year, I was appointed chairman of the British Transport Comission (later the British Railways Board), despite having no experience of Rail management. I gained a lot of notoriety for a set of plans that ended up in the closure of a third of the country's rail network. Who am I? Thought this might be a good idea, maybe not. not really sure where this would go but i thought id post it here... ok the games called 6 degreees of separation and basically all that happens is you get given a thing (person, artist, item, etc) and you need to think of something that relates to it in someway. so for example someone puts " Coldplay " then you could say " Gwen Paltrow " and the link is chris martin is the lead singer in coldplay who has a wife named Gwen Paltrow. Then the next person needs to say something that links in with gwen or something. (if its a hard one give a hint) sorry if i didnt explain it properly, but yeah see how it goes.

Remember these things? Well, I thought it would be fun to make one where everyone just makes up the story along the way. Sort of like the never-ending story threads but in MS-DOS adventure game form! :laugh3: I guess I'll start off... It's 2024, and you're in post-apocalyptic earth. You find a sign that says "LONDON" but you're not sure whether you are in London England or London, Ontario Canada. You seem to have a bout of amnesia, and you're not sure who you are. You check your wallet to find out, finding an ID... As a suggestion, lets start describing/naming him/her... :laugh3:

just thought of this really stupid game.....ok one member asks 3 questions about anything and the next member answers them and gets to ask 3 other questions.........very easy 1) When did you become a Coldplay fan?? 2) Whose your fav member?? 3) How do your friends describe you?

a friend of mine tought it to me at a party and it's great here's the deal: i come up with a pattern that all words you tell me have to follow (for example,they're all yellow), but i can't tell you what the pattern is so i say 'i pass with duck' another one says a word,any word,and i have to decide if it passes or not,and so on until the round is over (a whole page in this case) when a page is finished i'll say again ' i pass with banana',every time a different word,and the objective is to find out what the pattern is sounds complicated but it really isn't so......i pass with cup

The object to the game is to keep bumping this thread by posting on it. The points system less than 1hr = 0 points less than 2 hours = 1 point less than 3 hours = 3 points less than 4 hours = 6 points less than 5 hours = 10 points less than 6 hours = 15 points above 6 hours = 20 points A Bump will only count if it has the word "Bump" in it! If you make a false bump, the time will still be taken from then. You can bump yourself ( make repeated Bumps) So do you bump the thread after an hour and get 1 point, or wait for 2 hours and get 3 points? Obviously the longer you wait, the more likely someone will bump the thread, before you get to it…
