Yeah opera is a european thing...in english it just wouldnt sound right...we have english operas here, but the whole point of them to us are to be sung in a foreign languages...we like the sounds, the bravado attached to them, the songs themselves rarely have meaning cos we don't know whats actually being said :)

Wait.... isn't the UK part of Europe?

Then you are a European!

Wether you feel like it or not, that's another thing..... though I would take Finland, Iceland, the UK and Sweden as special cases

was a joke, i stuck out my tongue :)

tho i prefer to think myself English than anything else...even over british

we opted out of the euro currency :) deciding to remain independant within the EU

Joining the euro is economic suicide :)

Joining the euro is economic suicide :)

It's funny, but many people like it!

yeah the countries who's currency wasn't as strong as the euro is now..it practically crippled Germany and didn't do France many favours either...right now the pound is strong against the euro and the dollar, to join the euro wouldn't do us any favours.

I know that, so I won't argue about that, but I think it's a little unfair that you go in but partly; you either get it fully or not at all.... that's the way I see it, at least

Unfair? We aren't talking about a game here where the UK are cheating...60 million peoples futures are influenced by this decision, i think there is some weight attached to that. We shouldn't have to do something because everyone else does.

Btw we haven't gone into the euro partly...we don't have it. And we won't go into it fully until it is economically viable to.

Euro sucks!!

But it's easy for travelling... I love it when I was in Italy! :P
