What are the worst band names you can think of that have actually been used?

 

Here are my choices:

- !!! (why in the hell would anybody chose a band name that's completely unpronouncable? and don't give me that "chk chk chk" crap)

- The Band

- The The

- The Music

 

Those three are similar in that all you really need to do with a band name for it to work well is pick something unique that people can remember, and they failed completely (most likely on purpose).

most of the bands that i like have daft names..., but because i've heard it a lot, and my brain likes them...i automatically don't think about it...

The Beatles, at the drive-in, Supergrass, Squarepusher, Soulwax, Modest Mouse, Lemon Jelly, Kula Shaker, Jamiroquai....etc

I think those are all good names, because they're unique and memorable (unlike, say, The Band) but they're not trying too hard to be over the top (like, say, Dying Fetus).

Yeah, I've always thought Radiohead was a dumb name. Or any other name that ends with "-head," for that matter. Still better than On a Friday, though. And they get a free pass for being so cool. :P
