Haha, check this out!!

EASTENDERS actors have been star-struck by the beautiful skies of the

Highlands as an exciting new storyline is filmed in Scotland.

James Alexandrou, who plays Albert Square bad boyMartinFowler, andpal

Christopher Parker (Spencer Moon) were so moved by the sight that

they burst into song.

Walking back from a night out in Inveraray, Argyll, the pair felt

inspired to perform a rendition of the Coldplay hit Yellow.

As Scarlett Johnson (Vicky Fowler), Natalie Cassidy (Sonia Jackson)

and Mohammed George (Gus Smith) looked on and laughed, they sang:

``Look at the stars, look how they shine for you.''

The stars of the BBC soap were taking a night off from filming a

Christmas and New Year special in which one character will be killed

off.

It is believedonecharacter will die in a Highland car crash in a

storyline aimed at topping the ratings over the festive period.

The soap's cast and crew are spending four weeks shooting the scenes

at locations throughout Argyll.

But which character gets the chop is a closely guarded secret.

The Albert Square stars booked into the £125-a-night Loch Fyne Hotel

in Inveraray on Sunday. And it wasn't long before they were sampling

our favourite tipple -a dram of whisky.

One local said: ``The young cast booked in then headed straight into

town to the nearest pub. They ordered double drams of Chivas Regal.

``It was funny to see Sonia and Martin Fowler drinking in Inveraray

instead of the Queen Vic.''

The actors enjoyed a drink as they relaxed in the cosy bar of the

George Hotel, a popular haunt for tourists.

The source added: ``They didn't go crazy drinking because they've

probably got hectic schedules.

``They will probably want to take it slowly, but I'm sure we'll show

them how to party while they're here.

``They seemed a nice friendly bunch. They sat in a corner at one of

the wooden tables and spoke quietly among themselves.''

A scouting party from the soap headed north earlier this month to

find locations for the Christmas special.

Much of the action will take place in picturesque Glen Fyne at the

head of Loch Fyne, 10 miles from Inveraray.

Set-builders have constructed a bridge across the River Fyne and it

is believed this will be the scene of the dramatic, fatal crash.

Filming will take place dayand night in the glen, which is in the

heart of the Argyll Forest Park.

The smash will be filmed this weekend near the winding Rest And Be

Thankful road on the A83. The show's producers have also been given

permission to close the B839.

Bizarrely, the crew have even planted a tree nearby.

One curious onlooker said: ``They planted a tree on the edge of a

cliff looking down into one of the glens.

``It's a windy spot and they even cemented it in to make sure it

doesn't blow over.

``We couldn't believe they came all this way to a place with

thousands of trees and decided none of them was good enough.''

And he added: ``It's a beautiful backdrop and they obviously want to

make the most of the scenery.

``We've heard someone is going to go off the side of the cliff, but

they're not saying who. We've heard the car ends up in the river.''

EastEnders last came to Scotland in 1995 when they filmed Mark and

Ruth Fowler's wedding at Langbank in Renfrewshire.
