I'm a little busy but hope soon to start "La peau de chagrin" (The wild-ass's skin) of Honoré Balzac, I was supposed to read this when I was at school but never did, lol, the topic is just very interesting to me.

A brilliant article in Sports Illustrated about Pat Tillman...

Yes, I'm a magazine, newspaper type guy. I think I'm excused for it...

the siege

it's the most boring book i ever read but i have to because my teacher make me

its call the island. its a group of short stories by alastair mcleod

just finished "Holes" by Louis Sacher.

we had to read it in english class and i've gotta say it's a really nice book.

yeah, i enjoyed reading it. it's a very tangled story... and great material to learn with.

Wonderboys by Michael Chabon. I love the movie and a couple of days ago I saw the original novel in a shop and decided I'd read it... And it's actually great. I mean, the movie is awesome and so is the novel. I'm just in love with the whole story (though the movie wouldn't be half as attractive without Tobey Maguire... Jeez... Errm yeah).

I guess the movie is a comedy..and the book sure wasn't..i've never wanted to watch the movie just because i know it's much worse than the book...

And yah, i almost forgot..i'm reading Billy Elliot by Melvin Burgess. I bought it from London and it's in english

Holes! I haven't read that in so long! :stunned: I never saw the movie, my brother liked it though

Yep, I have read it, it's very easy and nice to read. I totally loved the book but I can't really choose between the book and the movie 'cause both are awesome. Besides, the movie is very close to the orginal book 'cause Chabon wrote a scenario by himself... And of course, my choice wouldn't be fair anyway since I'm crazy about Tobey Maguire :anxious:

I've started re-reading Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series. Have just got into the third one Voyager. Am thoroughly enjoying the re-read.

Proust's Combray.

God it's boring

omg Proust

What? You've got a bone to pick there or...?

Yeah, I supposed you agreed :)

haha, I'm not a huge fan of Proust... Never really connected with me :laugh4:

Zora Neale Hurston-Their Eyes Were Watching God

other than the insane ebonics dialogue, it's a good story. but you have to get past the crazy ebonics first.
