i can't even hear keyboards in any of their songs...

they have some keyboard parts, i'm sure. Like, in "Next Exit", i'm pretty sure that has keyboards.

Carlos writes and records all of the keyboard parts. For live performances Interpol bring in a touring keyboard player.
