I went on a Metric craze at HMV today. Picked up Emily Haines solo album as well as Metric's Old World Underground, Where are you Now and Grow Up and Blow Away.

Love the new album! Bought a copy on tues!

not sure about everyone else. but to me Fantasies has this real debut album feel to it. just the way it flows and how every tracks has this brilliant hook to it.

And one of the best opening tracks for a while.

Zero by YYYs beats it by a tiny bit in my opinion and Southern Point by Grizzly Bear isnt far behind.

really? I like heads will roll better than zero. Southern point, maybe. I am not a big GB fan.

I don't know if its just fatigue, but I don't really like Help I'm Alive that much anymore. It is a great track and all, but I just find most of the other songs on the album are alot better.

The first time I heard of them it was because of this song a friend sent to me. :)

I'm going to do an update on my blog tonight.

It was awesome.

Basically what happened was the headlining act pulled out last minute. So instead of cancelling they just made it a free show. Tonnes of people went. Lots of mud. Lots of great music.

So I never got a chance to ask, how did you like them live?

 

Blew me away :dance:

Love love loved it. Amazing. Hope they come back here again soon! A little scary with all the crowd surfers and such.
