December 19, 200916 yr On the Sly. That song blows my mind. Emily's lyrics and vocal delivery are unreal. Also love the title track, Soft Rock Star....the list goes on and on :P What do you think so far?
December 19, 200916 yr I adore those ones and Hardwire  I'm sure once I've listened to it more times my top songs will be way different.
December 19, 200916 yr Oh yeah, almost forgot about Hardwire! That is one of my all time metric favs too.
December 19, 200916 yr hmmmm Thats almost impossible to answer. Sick Muse is probably my favourite. On the Sly close behind.
December 19, 200916 yr i'm loving their last album, every song!!! Gimme sympathy and sick muse are absolutely amazing... since i knew them i've only listenned to Fantasies, didn't mind to check the other albums :P must do that as soon as possible.
December 19, 200916 yr ^ Yes you must! I'm actually not that huge of a fan of "Monster Hospital". From Live It Out, I certainly prefer "Poster of a Girl" and the title track.
December 19, 200916 yr Have you guys heard the acoustic version of Live It Out? Oh my goodness is it ever amazing.
December 19, 200916 yr I have. Excellent, so excellent! :stunned: I really like the song Combat Baby and this video... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZEU41xdgDU]YouTube- Gimme Sympathy - Acoustic[/ame]
December 20, 200916 yr I just finished up my album countdown. Metric is in there somewhere ;) http://bit.ly/1andtwo
December 20, 200916 yr i really love her voice... i still prefer 'help i'm alive' among the acoustic lives usually i don't like bands with a female as a vocalist, but this band is just soo good :)
December 20, 200916 yr hey Crest :D while i listen to Metric all i wanna do is to dance... i remember one day i was walking back home, i was listenning to blindness ( so intense song) and i just crossed the road without even checking if it's red or green lol, i almost had a car accident :drunk: this is what i call extasy :P
December 21, 200916 yr At this point I don't really care if a band has a male or female singer. I love when both work together alot though, like the xx, Dirty Projectors, Young Galaxy, Stars, etc.
December 21, 200916 yr Yeah, I used to be against female singers in a traditionalist, non-sexist way, but seriously, Karen O and Emily Haines help change it for me.
December 21, 200916 yr i remember one day i was walking back home, i was listenning to blindness ( so intense song) and i just crossed the road without even checking if it's red or green lol, i almost had a car accident :drunk: this is what i call extasy :P Is it wrong that I find hilarity in the fact that the song in your story happens to be called "Blindness"? :dozey: Yeah, I used to be against female singers in a traditionalist, non-sexist way, but seriously, Karen O and Emily Haines help change it for me. Same here, although I think it was Feist that hooked me first. I never had anything against female singers, but they didn't appeal to me for longer. Now I enjoy them every bit as much as male vocalists, however. :D
December 21, 200916 yr Viva la female revolution! I'm trying to think who changed my view. Probably Feist. Although I was also completely blown away by Beth Gibbons on the latest Portishead record.
