I can see it. Thanks so much! I can't wait until it starts! BBC America starts airing it August 27th which is right after school begins for me. :P Hopefully it will make going back to school more bearable.

You know, Moffat said part of the reason for the season split was so that everyone could have all summer to get their heads around the big reveal.

 

I got my head around it by the end of one week. The split is just making me spend the summer worrying that Rory is going to end up dead once and for all. :( *pouts* (PLEASE don`t kill Rory, Moffat :cry:)

I don't think he will though, I think it will be a new actor seen as it would make the 12th regeneration and the 50th year.

COMEDY star Miranda Hart's hopes of joining forces with Doctor Who have been dashed - by the BBC.

 

The "gutted" actress, 38, has been told to forget about teaming up with the Time Lord and stick to her self-titled sitcom.

Rumours were rife that Miranda might become the Doctor's new companion after Who boss Steven Moffat offered her a "significant role".

But insiders have revealed BBC1 controller Danny Cohen has insisted she concentrate on hit show Miranda, which is moving across from BBC2 to his channel. A source said: "Miranda was thrilled to be asked to be on Doctor Who.

"Steven offered her a decent role and she felt, as it was on the BBC, there would be no problem.

"But the BBC1 controller let it be known that he wants her focused on her show, which he has nabbed from BBC2. Miranda's gutted as she feels she could do both."

The actress, with Time Lord Matt Smith, above, is one of Britain's best-loved stars. She won three gongs at the British Comedy Awards in January - and was presented with the coveted People's Choice Award by former Doctor Who David Tennant.

Her ban has upset Who fans, who have even set up a Facebook site calling for her to be on the show.

But insiders claim it's the latest evidence of bad blood between Cohen and Moffat. The pair allegedly fell out amid claims that only a few Doctor Who episodes will air next year because Moffat would be too busy with his other hit, Sherlock.

Angry Moffat hit back on Twitter: "The scheduling of Dr Who has NOTHING to with Sherlock."

Cohen said: "Miranda's one of our brightest and busiest stars - as well as writing and starring in her own sitcom she's also currently filming Call The Midwife, one of our brand new dramas for 2012."

Miranda said: "I am a massive fan of Dr Who, so was incredibly flattered to be asked to be part of it but with series three of Miranda happening next year it was never going to be possible as I am focusing entirely on the sitcom."

Okay so two things have come out of a screening in London of Doctor Who tonight :awesome:

Moffat has confirmed that there will be a new companion in the next series.

and there's another I wish I didn't know Damn you tumblr ruining the element of surprise :mean:

I guess it's best to avoid it until you've seen the episode. Lots of spoilers etc. going around.

Although Moffat could be lying and spreading false rumours after things leaked last time.
