The members of the band Interpol, have decided to break up, on the count of many tensions growing between the band. Early Wednesday afternoon, lead guitarist Daniel Kessler, was seen arguing with Paul Banks who is the vocalist and guitarist. Punches were thrown and one was accidentally thrown at Interpol drummer Sam Fogarino. Paul Banks was repoorted to be yelling "I'm f---king tired of this s--t. It's done, I quit this band!".

 

Interpol bassist Carlos Dengler was late at the scene, and was astonished to find out about Paul's decision to leave the band. "We have been having problems, I'm just so surprised he decided on this so abruptly, but I wouldn't say it's the end. Just have hopes that we will continue."

 

On Thursday morning, Interpol got together for their final meeting. Daniel Kessler told Matador representatives "Interpol has decided to disband for personal reasons... We will continue with the final leg of our tour. To our friends, fans, and family, we apologise. We love you and thank you all for your support."

 

Paul Banks and Sam Fogarino were not available for information.

 

Interpol was a band formed in 1998 by guitarist Daniel Kessler. They came out with two albums 'Turn on the Bright Lights' and 'Antics'. They have made it to much popularity in the US and UK, and will be playing a sold out show in Brixton Academy April 9th.

a close friend of the band has just confirmed this article.. the reason the direct link wasnt posted was because the label hasnt issued a statement yet.. and the article was leaked before Monday.. so.. it appears this is true..
