I love An Cat Dubh, definately one of my favorite U2 songs. The guitar intro is awesome. And I love how the title's in irish, since Bono failed that in school

Have you got a lot of mp3s? If so, post them, definately!

Amen' date=' [b']DreamOutLoud[/b].

Welcome to the forum, by the way! Always nice to have another U2 fan around here! :D

Hey an_cat! Are you a interferencer? What's ur screename? Mine is: U2fanatic4ever (been a member since 2001). I'm a major blue crack addict.. Always nice to see a fellow U2 fan! We are one big family aren't we.. amazing community of people! I have met so many wonderful people this past year and are dear dear friends of mine now.

I think everyone who's posting in this thread is also an interferencer (I like this name )

I must really agree with you, last summer has been one of the best for me thanks to their shows, on the first one all the first row of Edge's b-stage was made up by poeple from the italian board I'm writing in...like you say a big family, we also organised the special coreography for Bono :nice:

I'm the same username as here, an_cat! :) Have to admit, I'm a bit more of a lurker around there. Don't know why, I guess there's just so many threads, I end up reading more than posting! I've seen your posts around, I think! Cool!

U2 fans really are the best bunch of people. I've never met nicer people than the ones I hung out with in the Boston GA line. They're the most caring, knowledgable and giving people I've ever met, really.

ok..i have seen you there as well. Do you know kimla? She's u2forlife on interference.. She was at the Boston shows.. She's a good friend of mine. Those shows were amazing huh! Next tour I am definitely catching them there.

How many shows did you end up going to this tour? I was very lucky to go to 10 shows. The most I have ever done. GA is so addicting...and U2 of course. Can't get enough I tell ya.

My amazing year was highlighted by finally meeting Bono and Edge back in April of 2005 at a meet and greet before one of the shows in LA. Surreal day for me! I have been a hardcore fans since '87 and have seen every tour since.

Here's the autograph from that day. It is a 8x10 copy of one of Otto's photo's from Elevation tour..

Autograph2002.jpg

Here I am waiting to get my pic signed. I am the one in the cowboy hat. I was so so nervous that I was shaking...Bono and John both loved the pic and said so...

bonosigningtshirtinfrontofme.jpg

That is AMAZING! Whoa!!!

I could know Kimla, I'm not sure! Most likely I have met her at one point during my Boston "adventures"

I only got to 4 shows this year, since I'm still living at home, don't have a steady job yet, and well... still in school! So it's hard for me to get the money and time to see the shows. But I saw them in Boston on May 28th (I had seats, front row right next to the walkway on the side), October 4th (magical, front row on the elipse, Bono smiled down at me and Adam winked at me! Damn!) and December 4th (again, front row next to the walkway on the side). Then I had nosebleeds for Hartford, on the 7th. Surprisingly, I think that the Hartford show was the second best next to GA. I thought the nosebleeds would be horrid, but they weren't at all!

I met Edge on Oct. 4th. It was an incredible moment. I was sooo nervous, I didn't say anything. He just came up to me and took the U2 picture I had and signed it. My hands were shaking a lot, he must have noticed. Then he handed it back to me really gently and carefully so I didn't drop it. He was moving on to the next person when suddenly it hit me that Edge was right next to me and I hadn't said anything to him, so I burst out "Edge! Thank you SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much!!!!!" He turned around to me and gave me such a smile, then winked. Oh jeez. That was crazy! I got Adam's autograph that day, as well, thanks to a really nice person who passed my picture up for me.

...Wow, that was a long winded story. I just love talking about it, though! I've got some pictures that I've posted on this thread before, but maybe I'll post them again. I've got to go now, though.

Oh, and by the way, is that a 2005 next to B's signature? When I looked quick I thought it said "omg..." LMFAO!!!!! Which is the exact thing I think everytime I see that picture. Haha.

That is AMAZING! Whoa!!!

Awesome story!... I know about not being able to go to shows..that is how it was for me for the elevation tour. I love talking about my experiences too. Oh, and I got to see Bono speak in DC back in Feb. of this year. It was incredible to hear him speak so passionately about the issues of making poverty history. I respect him so much and this just sealed it for me.

Post your pics I would love to see them. Since I didn't see them the first time..

Yeah, it says " 2005" next to his siggy.

Here's a pic I took at LA2 in Nov last year. I was on the rail in front of adam inside the ellipse.. and its a pic of Edge not adam lol I can't believe how good this pic turned out...

EdgeintheMoment11022005.jpg

^^ really nice picture. I want to see the boys again.

I know me too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But with all that is going on right now. I can surely wait. We want that sweet little girl to get better first. We could care less when they play again. Family is more important than anything!

The whole POP is underrated IMHO ;)

The whole POP is underrated IMHO ;)

POP most definitely underrated! Some great great tunes on that album...For example: Gone, Discoteque, Mofo, Last Nite on Earth, If God will send his angels, STARING AT THE SUN, PLEASE and the most underrated but song that makes you just melt, IF YOU WEAR THAT VELVET DRESS!

IF YOU WEAR THAT VELVET DRESS!

Bono's voice in this one :stunned: :stunned:

Chris yes tou should download it, it's one of the best gig of the Elevation Tour :)

Omg...! Major Drool Time ...

tell me about it! Especially the Jools holland version of that song...You are certainly done for after hearing that..OMFG!:stunned: I become one big puddle of goo everytime I listen to that( which is many many times..very orgasmic!)..

Don't get me started on 'Velvet Dress'. Whoooooaaaaa... The things that enter my mind... Just not appropriate for this thread, nor anywhere on the internet

Actually. There probably are places for that, but definately not ones that I visit!!!!

Anyhoo!

Pictures I took:

Edge signing my thing in this, what a sweetheart!

13.jpg

My mom took this one, as she leaned off the fence LMFAO! I'm holding out my U2 postcard picture thingy, which he seems to be looking towards. Yet he doesn't sign it! >:( Mean Bono! Just kidding, ;)

16.jpg

Him looking towards the girls who screamed "BONO IS A STUDMUFFIN!" John looks amused.

What a shot. I had the luck with that one!

44.jpg

Electric Co. rocked that night.

52.jpg

Proud of this picture, definately.

61.jpg

The sun shines out of Bono's arse! I took this picture right after, or right before, he smiled down at me between Love and Peace and Bloody Sunday. I screamed pretty loud, it must have took him off guard??? He should be used to that! Wow. Him smiling at me during a concert, though, made my entire life.

63.jpg

"You probably couldn't see me for the lights, but you were staring straight at me." (sorry, listening to Arctic Monkeys). Bono smiling down at me moment was closely followed by Adam winking at me and posing for this picture during Streets. My hearts beating fast just remembering it....

64.jpg

Adam having a great time, see his smile?

Only decent shot of Larry I got all night, which wasn't that decent at all.

Bono and Edge interaction in front of me.

I took a lot more pictures, but I'm going to Barnes&Noble now, so maybe I'll post a few more later! I also have some from my Hartford concert and Dec. 4th one.

Nothing can top October 4th for me, though. What an incredible, incredible day. It left me with a feeling that I'm sure only other U2 fans can understand. Plus, it made a GA/U2 addict out of my mom, who came with me. She refuses to get any other tickets for their next tour (whenever that may be, god willing) that are not GA. This coming from the lady who freaked out at me when I told her at 7pm, October 3rd, that she might want to go to sleep pretty early since we'd be sitting on the cold Boston cement at 4:30 in the morning!!

Right. I'm done blabbing like Bono ;)

Oh no, I can't possibly make a post about Oct. 4th without including this:

SmilingAdam11022005.jpg

Your pictures..... Wow. Blew me away is an understatement. I absolutely love the shot of Edge's shoes. Hey, Edge, you stole my shoes from my closet!!

The snow man... oh man. *dies of laughter* That IS what a U2 fan does. Too bad I didn't get more snow around here lately!

Adam looks so cool in that last picture.

Hope you don't mind if I save a few of these? Not to tout around as my own, or anything, just like to collect nice pictures of the guys :)

Edge and the sparkly guitar

EdgesparklyGuitar11052005.jpg

Edge and Bono at Larry's Bday show (LA Nov 1, 2005)! The whole crew including the band wore the Larry Mullen Band tshirts! How I would love to have one of these. The all girl band that got on stage that nite, Exit got tshirts from the crew.. The girls were awesome, they did Out of Control and rocked it!

I knew you were a true U2 from the start but after hearing your comments on edge's shoes and Bono da Snowman that just confirmed it. hehehe!

Ok..I didn't take this shot but I just couldn't stop drooling when I saw it.. It's from a Copenhagen show during the Elevation tour..It was so hot in there that nite that Bono actually ripped his shirt off!!!!!!!!!!!! Wish I could of been there for that!!! OH MY LORD!
