U2

Featured Replies

I saw U2 in September, City Of Blinding Lights live bleww me away. And when Bono brought Eddie Vedder out on stage to do a duet, that was beyond sick.

And then when I saw Pearl Jam two days later, Eddie Vedder brings out Bono to sing Rockin' In The Free World. haha.

wow

that'd be amazing

Oh yea, Eddie and Bono are my superheroes. haha. So I was totally stoked seeing them both two nights in a row. And Pearl Jam did a cover of my fave U2 song too, A Sort Of Homecoming. All I could say was "oh snap!" haha

You're seeing Oasis eh? That's awesome, I didn't plan on going, but now that I just heard that they'd be playing with Richard Ashcroft, now I'm slightly upset for missing the oppurtunity.

Everyone ready to watch the Grammys tomorrow at 8?

I am!!!!!! :D GO U2!!!

So yes, I am very excited! All my favorite bands/singers are there tomorrow (well, my main favorites) and I couldn't be happier!!!

Yess yess I can't wait to see it :wideeyed: but unfortunately I'll have to wait til the vids come up in the web as I don't have Sky :bigcry: :bigcry:

I'm still blaming myself for being too young in 1993 when Pearl Jam were supporting U2 during the ZOOTV

And I freaking love A sort of homecoming...ooohhh ooohhh oooohhhhhhhhhhhh on borderland we ruuunnnnn

I'm going nuts I need another concert :stunned:

We made this picture from Adam Clayton at the U2 concert on 16/07/2005 in Amsterdam :)

i bought rolling stone mag yesterday and it had a huuuuuge picture of Bono on the cover. the interview is 12 pages long!!!! :)

maiu, that's a GREAT article, very nice interview. :D

Oh man, I don't think I could love Bono anymore at this point. I'm watching the Red Carpet pre-show and some lady came out talking about fitting celebrities for sunglasses, and she mentioned Bono (showed his pink shades on the screen, he was wearing pink shades when I "met" him! gah, ok as I was saying). So she said what type they are, blah blah, and then she mentioned how they're about 700-800 buck shades, but all the money goes to AIDS relief.

 I was eating at the time when she mentioned him and I dropped my fork onto the carpet then choked on my salad.... :(

I hope U2 fucking crushes Mariah Carrey in the Best Album category. I hate that bitch... *done*

EDIT:

Oh, they just showed Gwen Stefani and her husband, the lead singer from Bush and Institute? I kind of laughed because I saw him twice in December opening for U2 but I had no clue who he was until my friend screamed "OMFG HE'S MARRIED TO GWEN STEFANI HE'S REALLY FAMOUS"  And like U2 isn't?

3 of the 5 so far, everybody!!!! Best Rock Song, Best Rock Album, Best Live Song and Steve Lillywhite got Best Producer for his work on HTDAAB (and something else, I can't remember what).

:D

Hope they get Best Album and Best Song, but I have a feeling they won't. Their performance was good, I enjoyed it. Thought it could be a bit stronger (on U2's behalf, not MJB's. She was strong enough :stunned: ). And Bono made no sense in the acceptance speech, but whatever.

haahah iwas thinkin the SAME thing when bono was talking.. i was like.. why is he talking about elephant poo..

I don't think that they'll play with richard ashcroft here....

there's no so many great bands' concerts here in chile.. is because of that that I'm so happy for get the chance to go to an U2's concert and an Oasis concert in less than a month...

Every single nomination. They won.
