July 7, 200322 yr Author yea. I should get it too. But I think I'll just get the live cd. The Wonderful Future has the best lyrics OUr Lady Peace has ever written, I think, either that or 4am.
July 7, 200322 yr Author oh my God, I forgot about All My Friends! Yea that's a great song. sad as it is.... is great! Spiritual Machines was their most thoughtful and well....... spiritual album!
July 7, 200322 yr  Makes sense that they would call it Spiritual Machines then :D Hey, you put The Wonderful Future lyrics in your sig! Awesome :) :)
July 7, 200322 yr Author ye! haha Every song on that album stands out. I mean, the album has a great message. It's about how when we feel like there is nothing left for us in life, there is always hope for a better tomorrow, a better future.
July 7, 200322 yr Ahhhh I just love OLP :) The whole album has a really distinct sound to it. I don't really know how to explain it but all the songs are different from the ones on other albums, know what I mean? :-o
July 7, 200322 yr Author yea. Every OLP album has a different sound. Naveed was fast beat rock, clumsy had a lot of bass and was grunge sounding, Happiness.... had a lot of experimental sounds in it, Gravity was a pure rock cd, and Spiritual Machines is hard to classify, it's like a mixture of Happiness and Naveed. Spiritual Machines is their most experimental album I think.
July 7, 200322 yr They're definitely one of those bands that can pull off alot of diversity with ruining everything. Hip hip horray
July 7, 200322 yr Yep! One of, if not THE best Canadian band. And Raine isn't hard to look at either :D
July 7, 200322 yr Author The Bass player has good taste in muusic, he likes TOOL and U2! The new guitarist is actually pretty damn good. Jeremy is a great drummer and never misses a beat. But, I like Raine best. A lot of his lyrics are really true. Stuff you can relate to. And some of his stuff is really uplifting and makes you feel good. Right Behind You is a good example. "No matter what you say no matter what you do no matter what I'm always right there behind you." and Life is the number one song to listen to, to cheer you up when you are feeling down. and Middle Of Yesterday "standing in the middle of yesterday when it all went wrong and we made mistakes I'm sorry for the things I forgot to say but it won't be long and we'll be okay and I will make it up to you...."
July 7, 200322 yr For me it's a tie between Jeremy and Raine. Jeremy is just an all around cool dude 8) and Raine has an awesome voice and of course wonderful lyrics.
July 7, 200322 yr Author Yea, Jeremy and Raine are cool. Mike was also cool, but then he left.....
July 7, 200322 yr Author when making Gravity, he and Raine had some "creative differences". Raine just wanted to make an album that would hit it big. I think Mike wanted more depth to the album, like Spiritual Machines had.
July 7, 200322 yr That's kinda unfortunate. I liked Mike  They probably would have been better off going with his plan.
July 7, 200322 yr Author probably. But just because OLP released one bad record in their eleven year career, doesn't mean they are going to go downhill from there.
July 7, 200322 yr Author Early next year I think. the new cd is supposed to have a completely new sound. I wonder what it will be like.
