this is a dumb question but when you talk to a someone are you sapposed to look them in the eyes? because ive been thinking about this for a while and alot of people i talk to dont, and i usualy dont when we talk. but today i was talking to this girl i know and she was looking right at me the whole time and making eye contact or so it seemed. so im curious. i feel stupid asking this though.

i lost a girlfriend because i didn't look her in the eye.... so don't feel stupid mate..

I think it depends on the situation and who you are talkin to.

well it's a way to flirt you know, and it's also a way to express confidence. so it all kinda depends on what you want to come off as since it can mean so many different things. cause if someone is looking all over the place they usually look nervous or shifty, or like they're lying

i don't use to look people in the eyes, because i'm shy.. and when a guy do it constantly and he look for me on the room we are or stuff like this i think he's interested on me (like he's in love with me)...

thats hard though, because i cant tell if its what the person wants or not. my friends girlfriend was telling me a long storry once and i looked her in the eye while she was and she seemed agitated because of it.

to me, looking someone in the eye when you're talking to them is just manners!

I find it unnerving. But I do it anyway :D

it all depends on intensity too, if you STARE into someone's eyes that can be intense but if you just look someone in the eye when they are talking to you that can just show you are a good listener

Unless it's in a class in which I just stare at the table in boredem

lol nope. he was the "coolest" guy at school. im happy to be friends with him. the dude was awesome, everyone loves him.

Whenever I talk to people, I look them in the eyes. It conveys that you are truly paying attention to what they are saying.
