Como o macaco gosta de banana eu gosto de ti

Escondi um cacho debaixo da cama e comi comi

Minha macaca gira e bacana

O teu focinho é que não me engana

Pois se a macaca gosta de banana tu gostas de mim

Como o macaco gosta de banana eu gosto de ti...

*sings along* :D :D :D

^^^:laugh4: :laugh4: :laugh4:

do you know what that means?? where did you see it??

edit: that's like one of the Portuguese songs you should never hear unless you want to laugh!!

I know, I know :P And I do know what it means! I even have this hilarious song on my computer and I LOVE it!

During my stay in Portugal this summer, my friends showed the song to me to have a laugh and I listen to it regularly ever since :D

José is my heeeerooooo ^^

:laugh4: :laugh4:....jose cid....oh my....

i have to go now but i do want to know more about your summer in Portugal: like where did you go and what did you enjoy more and things like that! so visit this thread please! oh and please tell me that your friends showed good portuguese songs to you! :laugh4:

bye

Alright, I'll come back to this thread some other time :D

And unfortunately, they didn't show me any GOOD Portuguese songs, no - but you could do that =)

Good night, talk to you soon!

no, it's not typical portuguese music... but they have special sounds...

typical portuguese music is usually singed in portuguese... what is pointless for you...

I found the best portuguese entry in the eurovision contest, simple and very typical portuguese...

heheh I watched the video......I really like the huge selection of instruments....;)

but all I understand is:

usur ofkwqe bhgpetorh doqjw btßeo dgok grpw saiwqe gpkw....:laugh4:

I wish it was brazilian...:bigcry:

^ Your name is Julia, right? Hello, Julia, then :D

Seems like you're close to Portuguese, just like I am - though I can't speak a single word :P Tell me your story!

:laugh4:

Yeah I'm Julia;)Hi!:)

well my story is:

I have never been there, I don't speak any single word in portuguese (except for dorme bem, boa noite, bons sonhos and ate logo haha...)........the only reason why I know all these things is that Miguel introduced me to them......because I'd even say he is my "best-friend" on here....hehe...;)

but however.......I somehow always wanted to go there....

Oh and I think the portuguese national team is the best looking one...:laugh4: hahaha

Aaah I see, Miguel is definitely a ladies man on here, isn't he :P

Well, my best friend is from Portugal. I met her on a Rufus Wainwright message board after seeing him supporting Keane, and we've been friends ever since - it's about 17 months now :D She stopped by in my city last year while touring through Europe and this summer I spent 10 days with her in her house - I feel so blessed to have met her, she's my soulmate and I couldn't imagine my life without her =)

I met wonderful people in Portugal, and can't wait to get back there again!!

:laugh4: ask him.......

awwww.....that's a nice story you got there....I mean that you are really so good friends although you met each other on the net...and that you even went there...and wow...really nice......although I think I met more peple who are like me on the net than in my real life (I'm from a small village.....you don't meet new people everyday..and not really different ones...)....but I somehow can't imagine that...well...I met one girl from this messageboard...we went to a concert together...and it was really strange at first., but then it was nice...but I think if there are people you talk a lot to.....you feel close to somehow...then maybe good friendships can develop..;)

Yes, certainly! It was quite strange at the beginning, but we discovered how extremely similar we were - and if it takes the internet to meet your soulmate, then why not? It was not a crappy dating line or something, it was a small, quiet message board, and after sending each other some PM's, we started talking on MSN and we've had the best online conversations ever - and when I visited her, it was like we would have never been apart, like we'd been friends in "real life" forever and like there's never been internet.. Very weird indeed :P

Yeah that sounds weird somehow........because I guess if you meet someone from the net it must be weird (at least at first...)...but well I only met one person.....so I don't know what it would be like next time....(if it will ever happen again)...I always got this "problem" with my parents.....my mum doesn't trust in things like that....she is totally against chatting and actually meeting people from the net...well ok...I could convince her last year when I went to the concert that those people are like me...and that I didn't meet them in any asocial crap chatroom.....I think she was convinced a bit after all.......but since I know how she thinks about all this I feel weird saying to her that I talk to people on the net...

a pity.......I'm glad when I moved and I am independent..hehe...;)

I got to go now...bye..:)

Well, my mum is quite concerned in these cases, too, but only if it's about boys ;) She thinks is great that I met my best friend on here, since she's a girl and we grew that close, and are normal girlfriends, you know =)

Have a nice evening then, it was nice to talk to you! Bye :D

I wish it was brazilian...:bigcry:

:laugh4: :laugh4:

@Flying sparks (sorry i don't know your name :nice: ) : i couldn't help but read all the conversation and really great story you have there (like Julia said)!!....well Miguel uploaded some songs from a Portuguese band called "The gift" for Julia in her thread a while ago....they should be working....other than that, i have to speak to Miguel to see any other cool Portuguese bands for both of you to hear! ;)

so tell me: which places did you visit?? i'm really curious about that :P

My real name is Angelika, nice to meet you :) What's your name? Lili?

However, I visited Lisbon, Aveiro and Porto. I originally planned to visit Coimbra as well, but I didn't do so after all. I was in Aveiro most of the time because my friend lives there, but I slept over in Porto, where I met this second friend, and in Lisbon in a youth hostel.

I actually gotta say that Lisbon reminded me a lot of my city, Vienna, because of the Old City downtown, it looks quite similar =) And I absolutely loved Porto, what a beautiful city - the port, the bridges, the parks, gorgeous :D

Where in Portugal do you live, by the way?

@Angelika: I'm just a normal guy... not even cute :embarassed:

@Julia: you're my best friend here too (with Lilas ;))... and I still hope we can meet one day... :D

Oh I'm sure you must be cute in some way, us Austrian girls aren't too easy to get, are we? :P I guess that you don't have to be super-good-looking and mega-cute, but you seem like a nice, down to earth guy, so that's enough for being considered as "cute".. I met lots of Portuguese guys in summer .. yum yum :P

Awwww.....well first of all:

I think you are cute......no I don't say that now to please you...ehhe...;)

Yeah...I hope that too..:D

Oooh and btw...thanks for all these videos....I watched slience 4 so far...and I really like the music...:nice:

 advertising portuguese music!!?? I guess I can do it...

i knew Miguel would do very well in this task! good selection! ;)

EDIT: i can actually upload some songs from silence4 if any of you want

Porto is soo beautiful...i love the river there (Douro)...the river in Lisbon (Tejo) is not as beautiful i admit...but i like Lisbon downtown more...Aveiro has this cool typical houses and boats, don't know if you notice....

i've never been to Vienna, i'll try not to forget that so that i can compare when i eventually go there!

i'm really glad you liked Portugal :)...there's also some really good beaches in the south!
