oh you saw a lot of cities!! i was expecting you to say that you only visited lisbon like most tourists do....and i absolutly love those three cities!! coimbra is nice too, go there next time!

lisbon is my city and i absolutly love it!!:D

Porto is soo beautiful...i love the river there (Douro)...the river in Lisbon (Tejo) is not as beautiful i admit...but i like Lisbon downtown more...Aveiro has this cool typical houses and boats, don't know if you notice....

 

i've never been to Vienna, i'll try not to forget that so that i can compare when i eventually go there!

 

i'm really glad you liked Portugal :)...there's also some really good beaches in the south!

I'm really glad that I didn't only visit Lisbon like most tourists do - and Lisbon was, to be honest, the least beautiful city of all three of them, to be honest ^^ Of course it's beautiful, but I LOVED the charm of small town Aveiro and the beautiful river of Porto, so.. simply this typical Portuguese charm :)

 

I'll definitely visit Coimbra next time I'm in Portugal! Any other cities you recommend? :D

well...i know i'm biased because i always lived in lisbon so to me this feels like home and i love it! :D....i don't know aveiro very well but i absolutly love porto and understand the fact that you loved it! but come on, give another chance to lisbon...it's a really nice city...

did you go to parque das naçoes? it's such a nice place to relax, sit down and look at the river alone or just chatting with some friends...ema's were there!

 

i live near the river but far from downtown..near parque das naçoes actually

 

let's see....other cities :thinking:...i must warn you that all cities except lisbon and porto are small...and north is more developed and you visited the most important cities in the north except probably braga and guimarães (and of course coimbra)...in the south i like evora, it's a small city but it has cool things to see....oh and if you go to the south in the summer, particularly to algarve you are more likely to find english people than portuguese people!

 

and about coimbra: it has a nice downtown and it has a well known university so a lot of people who live there are students...

i love it too...it's a really nice place to sit down and have deep conversations with your friends and in the middle of those thoughts watching the river :smug:....i don't know where is that youth hostel but i've heard about it since friends of a friend of mine are living there...and yeah it's near to where i live i suppose...

 

oh yeah!! i love that part of the city too!!! :D....my grandmother actually lives near so i go there sometimes too...yeah it's called belem...did you eat pasteis de belem? it's really typical and really good :smug:

No, unfortunately I didn't eat these pasteis de belem, gonna keep that for next time, too :D What is it, and where can I get it?

 

I remember walking around in the parque das nacoes, I remember that me and my friend were pretty quiet in this moment.. I don't know, you just let the whole atmosphere work.. and don't talk, you just watch the river and.. be calm :) Very nice!

 

Oh when you come to Austria, I can give you lots of tips or maybe even lead you around the city myself :)
