George W Bush..........

One question who is in charge of them, who gives them their jobs... ???---Bart

Well firstly its the American voters. Now I understand the majority technically didn't vote Mr. Bush in. But you could still lay some blame on those who didn't vote. Now you have to deal with the Conservatives saying that low voter turnout was because people are just happy with who is leading, meaning Bush. So that's why they don't go out and vote. Of course I disagree with that, because I think its more to do with voters "fed up". If people were truly happy with the present leader, they would have voted to make sure he go re-elected. Not the other way around.

The key to democracy is to bring back trust in the voting system. I believe there are millions in the U.S who would agree with the Liberal thing to do. Like NOT spending millions of dollars to replace aging parts on satelites in space, and put the million dollars towards the millions of people starving to death. We may all live in different countries. But if you think millions of people starving in another country doesn't some how affect us here in the west. Your WRONG. We are all in this together. Its to bad so many Christians have disagreed with me on this. So hard to understand them sometimes. Unless your talking to a Liberal Christian, which they do exist.

Now regarding the fact that Bush appointes these guys. Do you think Bush wakes up in the morning and say's this is the guy for the job, I'm going to appoint him. He doesn't. The elite all have to agree with him, and I doubt he even is the one that thinks of these people to do the job.

So I think that answers your question.

In closing. Stop going after the one guy. Go after the people pulling those strings. That's your target. If you do some research about the people around President Bush. You will be even more frustrated and angered.

are you serious????

yeah, everything carpediem said is on point... 'the voters' technically choose these representatives... and they are 'suppose' to represent the people.. but we all know how politics really work lol

hmmmm the man that won a election in the year 2000 in a total farce of and election... how could a country of 300 million plus people be dicided over 500 people... what a joke... ! your voting system sucks.....

Bring on Hillary !

as if she would be any different.... politics is politics period. The college of electoral votes is determined by the amount of representives there are I believe.. but what counts here is the electoral votes.

read a book will ya! :P

Camille's right Daryl. The electoral college really decides who will win. Even if Kerry had won the popular vote, Bush would have still had more electoral votes which trumps the popular vote. I agree it is back asswards but it will never change. Bush is a "lame-duck" president so really it doesn;t even matter anymore. The man will continue to shit all over the world for another 3 years. I can't wait for the mid-term elections in '06 to see if we can't turn the ship around in the house and the senate.

Prior to 9/11 Mr Bush and his team were warned it was going to happen. This came out in a leaked report relased by the CIA. So ask yourself Mr Bush did you did fuck all about it.

Why did you slash, the Anti Terror Budget to fund your bribe of the Amreican people, in order to win what was a joke of a election in the year 2000. ??

A quote from the book 1984 by george owell comes to mind, you can control people by fear, he let this happen so he could do that. Or if anything, he did little or very little to stop it.

Why did you invade Iraq, ??? Why have you sent over 1000 of your US solders to a death that need have not happend. I have a answer for you, you did this so you could gain access to Iraq's Oil reserves, you were concerned that your country had been cut of the loop. Your sound bit of the war title, ' Operation Iraqi freedom' what freedom, the poor people of Iraq are now in a worser state than ever before.

Prior to going into IRAQ, did you look at your history books ?? Sadly not. Did you listen to your advisors, Saldy not these advisors warning you of a situation, that would arise, by trying to take over the coutntry. Why do you think the people have risen up against your troops and want you to go ??? Well if you take out a countrys infurture, take out its law and order, all it leads to is the present situation you face, whearas the moral dilema is said, if I stay it will be trouble, if I go it will be double. I personally think in the coming months you will pull your troops out of IRAQ, as you will relasie what mess you have caused will never be undone, however in doing that you have left the inocent people of Iraq, in a worse postion than before.

Why are you currently holding on to your Oil reserves, ?? To force the price up, in order to cover your reckless iresponbility of your ecominic bad business polices, in a attempt to proctect the US dollar even more.

Mr Bush againt the English Pound and the Euro your countrys currency has de vauled by over 25% on the worlds markets... it would de vaule even more if you let go, and traded your own oil reserves more faily...

Why did you when you was warned not to dismantal, what could have made the situation in New Orleans not as bad as it is, giving only a 6th of the required budget to help prevent the deveating impact of what Katrina has had.

When you went to New Orleans last week, for what was nothing else a Photocall did you put at risk more lives, by having any airlifts suspended for 24 hours as you was around.

Why did you appeal to the Far Christain right, to get you re elected ??? In the 2004 election.

Why do I feel the world is not a safe place as long as you are in charge ??

Did you watch the world change in the 8 years for the better when Clinton was in Charge, I did many other people did to.

Why do you think by not signing to the Koyto Agrement that problem of Global warming will not go away.

Why did you have a go at the Spanish for pulling out of Iraq, in possibly in what was there most hour of need. After Madrid......

Why cant you just accpet Mr Bush you are wrong, quit your job and make it a better place....!!!!

bush made my head hurt today..the mans pure evil...then my dad go sick last week...bush's fault again...hurricane's are his fault....crime..racism....hatred...all wars....dictatorships....terrorism...all his fault...he's the root ofall evil and problems with the world....

crying out loud....

The sheer ludicrousness of those statements should be so self-evident that I'm not even going to bother refuting them.

Also, yes, Bush won the 2000 election fair and square, as long as you consider the Supreme Court meddling to stop a recount to be fair and square.

The ludacrisness of bush making a mess is more funny then clinton making one...

im sorry but bush gets blamed for crap clinton helped creat..buti will say clinton was a genious when it came to politics..truly smart man, and i respect him for how good he was at it.

Isn't it confusing. You know when two people have a conversation about Clinton and Bush. Or just any topic in politics. You can see how much both of you believe in what your saying. So exactly what is the truth? Could it be you are both sharing nothing but your opinion, and would never admit to it. I mean yous probably truly believe deep down what your saying. But where is the truth, who is right or wrong?

Could both of you be right in some ways, yet wrong in others. Usually when you open up your mind to one another, this helps in communicating. You two are having a disagreement that has no end to it. It was clear in the first post by the both of you, that you believed what you believed. The rest now is just blah, blah, blah. Nothing you both say hasn't been heard.

Ironically there is a flood of information out there that you can come up with, that will make both of you sound right. I mean that is the law of information. It just gets created as we go along by both sides. Where is the truth? Well that is buried. Your on a need to know basis. Because all the information is so made up by different people, the truth always gets lost between reality and people's minds as they lay out the information on paper, music, tv or books. Yah all those forms that play a role in how we think.

I'll share my OPINION. As much as it scares me that the U.S may one day take over Canada, or that the Christian right will bring on another war. I still think that the Bush and his people's plans will bring America down to where it looses its identity. They see everything they do as a National interest. But at the same time they forget everything they do is making it harder on the country.

Unemployment do to companies going for cheap labour over seas. Did you also know there is more American companies being bought out by European countries, then the other way around? Yep good old United States of Europe, or in other words European Union. Why would they be able to freely be able to start buying out American companies? Well because of trade agreements the Republican party so strongly support. While still telling the American people they have their interest infront of their decision making. I think Kerry was the candidate that promised to fix this problem. That's not to say I would have believed him if I lived there though.

The European Union has even been able to block two American companies from merging. What? the European Union had this much power over American politicians and lobbyist? Yep. Now that's just the European Union. What about China? Even China has started to invest in American companies. Now while all this looks good to the Conservative, investements coming in. In the end there is allot of negative to this. Corporations lobby allot of policies, and if American companies are becoming China owned, or European Union owned. Isn't their interest going to play a role in American politics in the future to come? You bet. I guess this may prove to be positive for the American people. Because European companies may start looking for socialism type ways to run their companies in the U.S. What free healthcare maybe through taxes?

Interesting enough, a little off topic, but Toyota just recently decided to choose Ontario, Canada to build their auto plant, rather then build in the United States. Because it was cheaper here, and the production from Canadian auto makers was much more efficient. Something to do with the employees here being under better conditions. Oh and the fact they didn't have to pay health care to employees. Imagine Canada atracting foreign investements, when the Conservatives tell us that won't happen.

I remember reading a book about this, where the author actually pointed out how the European Union power and influence in the U.S, may even attract more Liberalism in that country. Even American companies have changed the way they made certain products, regulation wise, just to be able to tap into the European market. Isn't it ironic the American companies have to change regulations that protect people in the European market. What does that mean, the American people aren't as protected with what is sold to them?

Dont ever say that again kevin....

your making us look dumb.....

Right on----thats exactly what i am saying----about the 2000 election, nick are you familiar with the 10th amendment----well, if u are, you would know that the recount process was to be handled by the state government and not by the congress---so ofcourse he won the election with congress being republican-----nick, you are just too in love with mr. bush that you close urself to not see things----

LOVE TRULY IS BLIND :P

nick, you are just too in love with mr. bush that you close urself to not see things----

lilchick,

Your probably right there, however, being the opposition to what nick is saying. You have to ask yourself if your guilty of this 'closed mind' approach yourself. I'm sure nick believes what he is saying just as much as you. And when your having a debate, the only way a person will open up their mind to another idea. Is if you find common ground. Finding common ground is the key. I think that is why I find myself torn between being a conservative and a Liberal. Because if you actually try to understand the conservative side, beyond your emotions, beyond just what we are told, read it from a conservative perspective, and you will find they are not all nuts.

If the other person your debating is not going to take the first step to finding common ground. You take the first step. If that doesn't open them up a little from their narrow mind, then just move on. Trust me when I say you will debate many different conservatives, some who will never find common ground with you. But the same could be said about Liberals. Some people are just so stuck in this world of theirs, that even denying they followed a lie is yard for them to reveal. If only people realized admiting to a mistake they did, makes them look much more human, and they get much more respect that way.

In closing. Find common ground when debating. You will be surprised as to how much more you can learn, that you didn't know before, and you also then realize that the person your debating, is not much different then you in some aspects of his/her life. If your Liberal, Conservatives may be your enemy in your mind. Or the other way around. If that is the case then rule number one is understand your so called "enemy". This is a rule that was learnt from the Vietnam war. When the old U.S administration met with the Vietnamese government for the first time since the Vietnam war. They learnt that the entire war could have been prevented if they communicated better, and tried to understand what was really going on out there.

Now of course just a debate is not as serious as the Vietnam war, but its still serious enough for Liberals and Conservatives to start understanding eachother. Instead of the environment Fox news is bringing on which is pinning a war between Liberal and Conservative. That isn't going to solve anything. To bad this so called educated man O'Reilly can't see beyond his own ego.

Mrcool,

Thanks for the kind words. I enjoy your post probably just as much. Its always nice to see post with substance. You do a good job at not steeping to the usual Conservative level I observe over the years. The ones that get so defensive, and start throwing label after label to try and win the debate. Many Liberals have this level of communicating too, so their no better.

Kevin

Nick, If I could ever sit down with you and tell you all I know, then just maybe you would lift above the fog of your hopeless ignorance. It is too difficult to debate with you on this forum but surely you realize how pathetic your bush ass kissing is becoming. There is a reason why not one person agrees with you on this board and it is because you are DEAD WRONG.

You have to ask yourself if your guilty of this 'closed mind' approach yourself.

i dont think i am guilty of this "closed mind" thing----first of, i am in the middle in terms of conservatives vs. liberals----i am religious for sake---i am against gay-lesbian marriages, abortion, etc

again, maybe i am wrong, and thats ok----it just trips me out that someone cannot accept that bush has made mistakes, big ones----like you said, we should accept also mistakes we do and everything, so i still dont understand how nick can just defend bush in every single attack----u gotta admit atleast to some mistakes he's done, which are alot

i'll just shut up now, cause this is going nowhere :P

George Bush?

what a great great man, for sure

anyway... I've said what I think of him so many times... :snore:

Nick, could I ask you a question...

What do you see in George W Bush that makes him such a great man in your eyes? I mean, what are the qualities / what has he done that makes him better in your eyes than other leaders, so much so that you feel so compelled to defend him even past what we perceive as gross mistakes on his part?

The Right Brothers (which i dont know who they are)

Lyrics: Bush Was Right

Written by: Frank Highland

Freedom in Afghanistan, say goodbye Taliban

Free elections in Iraq, Saddam Hussein locked up

Osama’s staying underground, Al Qaida now is finding out

America won’t turn and run once the fighting has begun

Libya turns over nukes, Lebanese want freedom, too

Syria is forced to leave, don’t you know that all this means

Chorus

Bush was right!

Bush was right!

Bush was right!

Democracy is on the way, hitting like a tidal wave

All over the middle east, dictators walk with shaky knees

Don’t know what they’re gonna do, their worst nightmare is coming true

They fear the domino effect, they’re all wondering who’s next

Repeat Chorus

Ted Kennedy – wrong!

Cindy Sheehan – wrong!

France – wrong!

Zell Miller – right!

Economy is on the rise kicking into overdrive

Angry liberals can't believe it's cause of W's policies

Unemployment's staying down, Democrats are wondering how

Revenue is going up, can you say "Tax Cuts"

Repeat Chorus

Cheney was right, Condi was right, Rummy was right, Blair was right

You were right, we were right, “The Right” was right and Bush was right

Bush was right!

Bush was right!
