yeah the emails were sent out. presale starts on monday the 3rd and finished at 11:59pm on wednesday the 5th. the presale thingo says that not everyone who signs up for presale will get a ticket, does that normally happen? someone whos got presale before please explain..

I think in the UK they chose people randomly for pre-sale didn't they?

well that went a bit off topic.

Has anyone got the email yet?

sam the email was sent out yesterday, with the link. if you don't have the link, here it is : http://www.coldplay.com/australiatourpresale

stuart, i've been looking at the pre-sale emails everytime, and everytime it says that not all pre-sale registrants will get it. what happens is, there is an allocated amount of tickets that they are allowed to sell for pre-sale. and because there is suposedly an "overwhelming amount" of registered australians according to coldplay.com, they can't guarantee everyone will get a pre-sale ticket because there is supposedly heaps of registered australians, and there is only an allocated amount. if this is the case, they will randomly allocate people pre-sale tickets. if you have been selected, they will send a link to your email with the purchasing tickets link.

sydney

& im going to see reel big fish and goldfinger 2moro night at the roundhouse there in sydney. u like them?

I wonder who the support act/s will be. Even though it's too early to know.

heres the seating plan for sydney. it didnt say where the gold/silver sections would be, but i think u could guess so i just put it on there... dont yell at me if im wrong.

shit!, i didnt get the link because my hotmail address went all weird, thanks sooooooo much Bonnie!! :) :) :D

ooooo yay! im so excited. Its my birthday soon :wink3: i'll drop some (not so subtle) hints.. hehe

Is the standing up thing better than seats?

And...

How do i purchase tickets? Iv never done that before, i went to homebake, but i never bought those tickets and im gathering its a bit different?

ok. i happily skipped off and did some research.

online. by phone. in person.

should i just phone them?

:o

what if i don't get thru.

online.

what if some hacker steals my money.

In person.

I live a gazillion km from civilization.

Could be time consuming and i should be studying.

:dozey:

i think i'll just call them :P

ay.. i just conviced my mum to buy me 2 gold tickets for my birthday. whoohoo.

So back to actually purchasing them...

what happens when you phone them?

I think you should try the internet. The site is secure. You'll have a slim chance of getting through on the phone!

stuart, actually i've never heard of any of these guys stuff (reel big fish/goldfinger) any songs to suggest? that diagram is accurate as far as i'm aware, thanks for that

jess the support acts are bound to be good ;) cp have been taking ace bands with them around on their tour, but i do wonder who it'll be

sam i had a feeling your hotmail messed up, no worries for the link ;) hope it works out

ellie, glad to hear you're getting tickets for your b'day! as jess said, the ticketek website is really secure (if you're buying tickets for the brissie or melbourne concert) and if its for sydney, the ticketmaster website should also be really safe and secure, i don't think theres any worry about safety with such websites. if i'm really paranoid i won't get tickets, i go through on the internet, and get my mum, dad or brother to go on the phone and see which one works out first. when my friend bought our foo fighters tickets, the phone worked out first, so it's up to you. to make things even easier, just go to an outlet and bolt for your life at 9am and get your tickets ;)

I'm a Brit currently in Australia. I watched Coldplay live in Bolton (England) this July, and will certainly be going to the Rod Laver Arena show in Melbourne, since that is only about 25 minutes by car from where I am!

i really wonder who the support acts would be hmmm....

it would be an aussie band wouldn't it?

bonnie, er... i dunno what kind of music youre in to. they are both ska i suppose, but reel big fish (which i am afraid to say on a coldplay forum tie as my favourite band with coldplay) had a few singles that you might like, but i dunno if you'd like all their stuff. look for the songs sell out, beer, where have you been, the set up. good place to start.

stuarts my last name btw. im callum.

  • Author

ahh right thanks for that callum  i'll give those songs a look, and sorry for calling you stuart all the time ;) i didn't think shallum was a name lol so i thought it was stuart

and have fun at their cocnert tomorrow :)

*crosses fingers* we find out about pre-sale tomorrow :stunned:

 i'm worried

So am I. The general sale tickets go on sale on a public holiday, so at least I'll be able to get them, instead of my dad. Because I know he'll sleep in or something and not ring up at EXACTLY 9am lol.

that's what happened with my foo's tickets  i asked daddy to get them at PRECISELY 12pm (these were pre-sale tickets) and we wanted mosh tickets but daddy didn't listen to how crucial the "PRECISELY" bit meant  ah well we ended up getting seats anyway, but yeah make sure YOU buy them because i hate relying on others to buy it!

lucky for me, if i don't get pre-sale for cp, then school only starts at 12pm on that particular monday because the rest of the grade has some aus bussiness week thing so yeah thank god for that! ;)

hmm well if presale emails were sent today then i didnt get one :( oh well, ill have to stay home on monday before school.
