Aww you guys... It must be pretty stressing to have to try to get tickets and dunno whether you'll get them or not. I mean I'm sad I can't get tix but I seriously dunno what I'd do if I did get to buy them... I'd probably flip out from all the stress just trying to get my hands on them. I guess I'm better off than you guys in not having to go through all this uncertainty. And I might even be lucky coz a guy just contacted me and he may have extra tix which he said I could have... What kind of dumb luck is that? :o I guess I'll have to wait and see (and really hope he manages to get them)...

Just wanna say Have hope people! After all 90% of the tickets are in the general allocation. Wish y'all luck in getting the tix you want! *Hugz* &... Coldplay fans are the best!

Thanks :) I'm probably just being the pessimist I am, worrying over nothing :P But I'll be shattered if I don't get tickets, as I'm sure everyone else will be too!

yeah i'm with you jess, i'm always the biggest pessimist during ticket sales because i get so damn stressed! i hope you guys all get ticks too, and thanks for your comforting words gentleparachute, i hope everything works out for you too when you come down to aus!

For people who get really stressed out about getting tickets, you should've gotten them off Preffered Seating.

http://preferredseating.com.au/public/ticket_tourevent.html?tour_id=555&event_id=980&dept_id=49&d=vip&

Only silver seats left, but for $20 extra you guys could've gotten first priority. These were on sale before pre-sale started.

And yeh, the system they use to allocate pre-sale blows. Definetly need an overhaul.

Ohwell, good luck buying them come monday guys. Hope you get good tickets.

And finally, how early do you think one should line up to get into the arena if you have GA tickets?

  • Author

awww i had no idea these guys were doing pre-sale too! i'm so bummed  thanks anyway moox. and i really have no clue how early you should line up to get into the arena for ga tickets. i'll consider that once i get mine on monday ;) *knocks on wood*

Bigpond are doing a pre-sale too, but I'm not sure what's left.

i'm lining up with mum, and my brothers being a darling he's paying for my ticket, but also staying home in the morning to try buy them online, we're gonna see who is fastest. i'm really paranoid!

open the page at 8:55 and keep refreshing it until 9am until you get through at PRECISELY 9 and then buy them :)

im sure they wont sell out in 5 mins though. so hopefully i have at least 30mins to do it! and if the site fails i suppose i can always call them. im taking the morning off school for this :)

  • Author

yes but the whole arena will sell out in 30 mins ;) what about general admission gold floor?

yeah i suppose... which is what im after.... yeah precisley 9am sounds good... lol.

8:55 and keep refreshing. trust me it will lag behind at 9 because there will be so much traffic. have it ready at 8:55!

General Sale

Hey everyone

Just a hint about the general sale on monday. I got tickets yesterday in the presale (2 GAs for Brisbane) and just to let you know that i collaborated with this clock:

http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/city.html?n=240

I kept on refreshing the ticketek page for the ten minutes before, but when i refreshed the clock and it said "11:59:57", I immediately refreshed the ticketek page and the offers came up wheras when i did it ten seconds earlier it didn't.. in other words, this clock seems to be pretty much in sync with ticketek's servers. Just a hint that may help!!!

Good to see everybody thinking positive! You'll get tickets i'm sure. I've said it before and i'll say it again - it's cliched.... but....

...everything's not lost :)

yeah i suppose we'll get tickets, but this sucks. like the presale was pretty stupid, because it didnt work as in proper fans get the tickets. plus now i have like 10 friends who hear 'coldplay is coming to australia, tickets onsale the 10th' on the radio, so suddenly theyre avid fans who have only heard 3 of their songs. ugh. this sydney gig will sell out twice over, and sadly it will probably be filled with wankers.

ok thats my bitch. im being paranoid.

This is my concert!

callum, that is EXACTLY what's going to happen. it even happened with pre-sale. i thought i'd be nice and tell my friends coldplay were coming, and it's a shame because now they act as if they're avid fans even though they know ONLY these three songs: clocks, the scientist, yellow.

and it's annoying because i didn't get pre-sale tickets, whereas my 2 "friends" got pre-sale and they don't even have their albums! they act as if they're the biggest fans but they ONLY want to go, to say "I WENT TO COLDPLAY" and rub it in my face. ARGH, that's my bitch for the hour.

  • Author

lol but yeah it's true that's exactly what I was thinking when i read your post. the pre-sale system was screwed over. pre-sale is supposed to be for the loyal hardcore fans only, and because the loyal hardcore fans dont get pre-sale thanks to some random allocation bullshit, the wankers end up getting teh geenral public tickets too, and like you said sydney will sell out twice over and will be filled with wanekrs who dont even have coldplay's albums, let alone be able to name a song apart from any single.

sorry if i'm being a real bitch but my "friends" have already rubbed it in my face by boasting how lucky they were to get pre-sale tickets although i know they DONT HAVE COLDPLAYS ALBUMS. i mean fair enough if they had burnt copies at least! they can't even name a song apart from their singles! it's pathetic! and these are the sort of people who get tickets! and it's people like us who miss out.

exactly, plus its stressful now, cuz you know that so many people including proper fans will try to get them on monday, anyway, the whole thing is screwed.

  • Author

exactly! it's all screwed over...

anyway all you guys best of luck in getting ticks, come monday! i WOULD camp out byut unfortunately they lock the mall overnight and i can't camp out outside because i'd freeze! :)

 best of luck my fellow AUTHENTIC fucken loyal hardcore coldplay fans (unlike the fuckers who screwed over pre-sale  )

whats the advantage of getting them in person over online anyway?

i wouldnt be able to make it to an outlet anyways.
