Proud to be an American (must watch)

Featured Replies

i've tried to open it for at least 3 times. but i still can't get watch it  why??? :cry2: can anyone help me out?

This was funny Kyle. This had to be some kind of comedy skit and if it wasn't' date=' I want the people of the world to know that not all American are that fucking stupid [/quote']

So what percentage ARE then?? :P

99.99954389%

It's written down somewhere. Probably the bible. "And from this moment oneth, 99.99954389% of Americans shall be complete dipshits. *cackle* *bolt of lightning*"

It's not our fault, really.

 that is funny as hell! the ppl didnt even second guess the land masses that were labeled wrong, umm I know for a fact that you learn that in 2nd grade! but sadly some ppl are that ignorant and small minded. :(

^ Aahh... So that's where it comes from... I really love you guys' sense of humour. The land of 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?' Ace! I so look forward to going there

:D you'll definitly enjoy the comedy here Ai. oh but i though 'whose line is it anyway ?"was form the USA

^ I thought the network producing 'Who's Line...'s ABC- that's Australian Broadcasting Corp innit? And I saw a show that day... the tall skinny guy gave a dead-pan impression of the Crocodile Hunter! He was dead-on, and the whole audience was laughing their asses off... so I figure they must be pretty acquainted with the show to be laughing like that :)

I'm sure I'll like the comedy. I love the way you Aussies straight-talk, even all the way down to your politicians. You guys really tell it like it is, and give it back good too... I'm just way too tired of all the shite and pretends I hear in my life. There's too much damn hypocrisy and not calling a spade a spade...

^ ahh i think the USA has an ABC too so that might be it. Cuase the only way i could see the show was when i had Foxtel and the comedy channel.

i can't agree with you more, i like the way you put it

There's too much damn hypocrisy and not calling a spade a spade...

my family eventually took off foxtel because the shit outwieghed the non-shit. I couldn't believe the crap that is foxtel news  i was in shock if that is what they call unbaised reporting then i'm Guy Berrymans squeeze

really scary laws are trying to be past here though. Our prime minister wants some draconian laws passed they say in the face of terrorism but it seems like they want to erod the publics rights.

they wanted a shoot to kill law passed, a law that will let police arrest you without charge if they believe your a danger/terrorist and the funny thing is you can't tell anyone you've been jailed or put under house arrest, if one parent knows that their child has been arrested they can't tell their partner, oh and slagging the primeminister or saying something bad about the government will lable you as someone suspicious (comedy may get less funny)! oh and they want to pass this before christmas (YIPEE :dozey: ) and they are debating the implementation of these laws during the Melbourne Cup (horse racing) which is a public holiday and is a time when people will be preoccupied partying away.

oh boy sori for ratteling away, just really worried and angry.

you may like this when you get here its called "The Glass House"

sometimes they can be too rude  but they make fun of politicians

At least someone found out about the proposed laws by your prime minister and there's a lot of hot debate going on about it... Over here, we had similar laws implemented after an incident in 1969 to "maintain inter-racial harmony", and it's been quiet ever since. The law's still in effect (even though the circumstances that triggered it have long blown over)... And no one can talk frankly about anything coz many issues are labelled as potentially socially destabilising and hence people are afraid of being arrested (and possibly jailed without trial at our King's [dis]pleasure for up to 2 years ) Everyone is very careful about mentioning 'sensitive' issues coz they could suddenly disappear off the streets.

So don't worry about rattling... You should be angry, and more importantly, alarmed. It'd be a shame if Australia implemented similar 'anti-terrorism' laws like us... It has hampered our leaders' ability to discuss issues and affected our country's ability to deal with problems. I say go make as much noise about it as you can before it's too late. There may be no turning back.

I checked out the website... I like it's brand of humour... that's far too wicked :sneaky: I'll definitely try to catch it when I come over :P

i like the way you think! and may i say you are a master of the written word---you write beautifully! ( i am ashamed of my six-year old level of writing :embarrased: )

The "there may be no turning back" thing yeah that's scary because this is meant to be "the lucky country" i just hope Australia don't change their motto. I have a malaysian-chinese friend and yeah she said it was not a good idea to mention certian issues openly. i also recently saw a news report on Malaysia and how they have raids in night clubs etc and if you're muslim and dressed indicently or do not follow the laws strictly then you could be in big sh**.

i met a band from Singapore they are called The Suns they were playing at a rally against the governments meddleing into student unions here in Melbourne. Got to meet the drummer and he dicussed how they were censored back home.

 ahh ha now we get closer to the truth!

Yeah and MTV censored it

^ really!!??!!! F**K MTV

Yep, it was "civilization is ****************. Let's all work on where we have to go with love and peace"

So it basically lost most it's meaning..

Than people must make up their own asssumption like "civilization is the best sucess in our present time. ...Let's all work on where we have to go with love and peace"

something like tha..hehe

 Now seems more logical to me why you Americans have the president you have...

No, seriously more than funny this is quite alarming...

The biggest military potence in the world with such levels of ignorance... IT'S DAMN DANGEROUS!

How can't 17% of the population find their own country on the map?

In 6th grade, we had to learn to place all the countries of the world on the map and also learn their capital cities by heart!

It is dangerous....but sadly we are no more igorant then any other superpower.

whats quite ignorant is the fact that its soo human for people to be this anti-america. you see from the first nation to now the biggest and strongest nation on top has been hated by most...from rome to america...these nations were no more ignorant then any other but the fact of them being on teh top makes them hated. For example if Guam was the biggest and strongest nation, more powerful then america..we wouldnt be having this thread right now...we'd all be bashing Guam for some reason...whatever the reason may be. when america fades out of the spot light and another nation takes the lead the same shit will be talked about it. its human nature to hate the top. america is no worse or stupid or ignorant then any other average nation..the simple fact of it being the most powerful makes it the most hated....

U kno what was funny to me...the news ticker..."Man clearly thinking of Ex-girlfriend during sex."
