Becoming Adults

Featured Replies

Just reading the thread about being Immature, and just kept thinking about things that werent relevant enough to the thread to post it in there.

I find in me becoming "adult" I still feel more and more like a child.

The only differences are some cruddy responsibilities (Paying rent, taking a bit of time out to organise where my life is going) but when it comes to being in social situations, its the exact same as when I was 7 years old, only with alcahol and sex floating everywhere. But even that doesnt seem so serious.

When I see people driving in their cars that are my age, it feels like we're all in go-karts, just messing around a carnival. It really does. I still refuse to see myself or others my age as adults, we're all just old kids.

Anyone else relate to this?

Go karts?!

Nice  Everyone can releate to that!

I think I can identify with it, i'm not an adult yet but i should have certain skills that come with age, like cooking or haveing an idea of driving...and I have non of those

Hahaha what the hells with the signature now?

Yes go karts! It feels like a big joke, like we couldn't possibly be driving around, that's for old people.

I cant imagine at what age I'll stop feeling this way. Maybe about 48. Getting married and having kids would also not effect me.

Just wanna be myself.....Dont wanna be adult, like my parents or all that ppl...Stupid,serious and ununderstandable.

Old people drive to slow..maybe?

no no ...they do!

I know what you mean though, I was just being dumb, again

You are just still immature...simple as that. Later, it will make sense. Maybe it makes sense to me, maybe it never will

All I can say is that depression hits me all the time like a slap...except a slow sad slap...because that is what depression feels like...

it is because i feel so damn old

or corny as all get out, like the world was just not ready for me...like it is not enough...Not that i am great...maybe that I jsut plain don't belong

make sense?

nah

(the sig is spossed to be super lame. til someone makes me change it or I can get a better one...I do apoligize for that one)

I don't feel like I'm an adult yet...

We all seems to be not adults :baby:

The cars I got used to after awhile, but I know what you mean.

The scary part is that I have it on good authority that that's a feeling that's never going to go away for the rest of life, though the intensity of the whole oversized kids thing has faded for me a little in the last year or two.

Thats the way depression hits me too, a feeling of not belonging.

Dont wanna think about it right now though

Yeah, that is what it all leads to..for me. That there is no real place for Crystal

I don't think I am better than anyone ( close minded people, when they hear my explaination, take it as i am better than others) <<<NOT true.

I just don't belongs like, on this earth and it makes me feel od, which means I don't do well with the young people...but older people think I am not wise enough.

Sorry Reilly :embarrased:

I know the feeling, its sucks haha man, i still watch cartoons and play videogames..i even get more excited over a new game than going to a party ( just sometimes :P ) But i dont really want to think about it cos i alaso feel like i dont belong at moments , sometimes like i'm wasting my time or living a routine now that i'm an adult..never wanted to be like those adults who just work like crazy, make cash and then die... reminds me of this song by the verve..bitter sweet.. oh well.. i better shut up now :lipsrsealed2:

I love the Pink Panther...and I watch the power rangers with my little brother (but always ALWAYS make fun of something,it's the most bizarre show ever)

Playing video games and watching cartoons is not childish...really not really. Just don't do it as much or more than a kiddie

It hurts doesn't it Ren...so maybe the people who don't belong, belong in a big group...of non belongers so that means they do belong. Like everyone there is just lost and confused?....that is a sad group to belong to

oh god..now Crystal is supemely sad

Hah thats right......Live is for living, people, dont spend it trying to get rich or working in boring office day by day....Better do everything that you want....I like cartoons too and I will like them in 30 too,I know it.And that's great, that's makes us weird and personal :)

haha i dont crystal, just when my little cousin comes by (he's just 7)and drags me around to watch cartoons with him cos he says i'm his fav cousin ever haha how cute , i love it cos i dont have any little brothers :P

He got me addicted to pokemon and bob sponge :stunned:

and when it comes to videogames.. oh well, i'm still a kiddy haha i still own the atari my dad got me when i was 6 whoa! I'l give it to my son if i ever have one haha and i'd probably beat his arse playing space invaders or pac-man haha

i know you don't i just wanted to clarify that to ones who do

atari!?! oh my...marry me

i know i'm a nerd :(

I still have my atari, nintendo, game boy and super nintendo :bigcry:

I'm pathetic hahaha :embarrased:

Oh I love my Sega.....It's 7 years old but still works :)

Mikkey Mouse Adventure2 rules

yeah..i have many of the "mod" game systems myself...but since i live half- life and hlf-life 2 sooo bad and graphics for it are better played on a NOT game systems, pc games are Crystal's choice
