I don't trust other people with drugs.

I trust myself with drugs.

I am a hypocrite.

I want it legalised for me, a couple of my friends and nobody else.

I'm struggling to comprehend how a person high on weed is more dangerous than someone sober.

I'm struggling to comprehend how a person high on weed is more dangerous than someone sober.

Do explain.

though alcohol may be the most dangerous for other people it's all about knowing how to moderate yourself and not make stupid decisions (like... hmm... get behind the wheel). But a lot of people are just to irresponsible and idiotic to know how to moderate and also not do stupid things like drive.

A factor that makes someone who's high more dangerous than someone sober, people think because they're not drunk, they should still be able to drive, despite having their reflex time slowed down a fair bit while high.

That's similar for all drugs.

Then there is damage to lungs and loss of brain cells, and if they are smoking in your presence then tiny things like passive smoking too. Not that I'm against weed :p

my whole take on drugs is that they should be legalized, however only if they are not lethal from small/limited usage (like mentioned in the article, meth, crack, heroin) and also do not have a very high addiction rate.

I personally feel that people should learn to be responsible and know how to moderate themselves, and of course as cynical as it may sound if they have too much it's their fault. I personally don't understand how people can just binge on these things. I mean I enjoy to drink, but I've never had a time where I black out or have a massive hangover... I just feel after a certain point there's no need to continue.

I hate the whole attitude of people who go out and get stupidly drunk all the time but think it's ok because they would never touch drugs, those people really make me laugh.

coffee

alcohol

and a couple of splifs at the beginning of this year because I was at a party

....although that's no excuse :p

So if you live in California are you going to vote yes on prop 19 tomorrow?

I'm no expert here, but isn't marijuana still pretty dangerous? I don't think legalizing it will help anyone, to be honest. If it's for a "medical problem", who cares, but for everyday use? What about the impressionable children?

Anywho, I don't think I'll ever try any drug, because I took an AP biology class and saw exactly what different substances do and why they're dangerous. Seriously. I don't need to see any more. I decided right then and there I wouldn't do it. It's really, really stupid. Like really really. Some people are truly disgusting...they'll do anything for pleasure. No self control.

Never used drugs/ abused alcohol, and I really don't plan on it.

My 14 year old friend got extremely drunk last night at a Halloween party. Not the smartest idea. :|

Also the way that some people think it's 'cool' to take drugs is a strange concept to me, it's not cool or uncool to take them, they can lead to an enjoyable evening though.

^^ 14 is pretty young. I had my first big hangover at 17 years old and omfg, never again. I'm 19 now and still haven't got that drunk and don't plan on it again. Tipsy is fun. Drunk isn't.

And well, drugs are overrated, I think. Yeah their effect is nice and enjoyable, but it's not like you feel in heaven when you take them.

My favourite, then mushrooms, ket's a bit of a guilty pleasure too. I'll never understand coke, it's just like having a hell of a lot of coffee.

Though I did go through a stage of buying quite a lot of it.

When I did it, I felt kind of floaty and strange, like I was in a bubble it didn't feel the same as doing X even though it's essentially the same thing:confused:, Ket, no way once and never again,Coke, I loved it for a while particularly while drinking but do it very occasionally now like a couple of times a year, the same with everything else actually even drinking.

Not really. I used to go out with someone who smoked weed pretty much every day (and has done for years) and it didn't really affect his everyday life. The problem was that he was sort of addicted to it, so he'd get in a bad mood if he couldn't get any weed for whatever reason.

There is no scientific evidence that it causes mental illness.

Yeah, I really don't care what she does with her own life as it's her own business, but 14 is just too young. :|

Marijuana is legal in New Jersey. :awesome: For medical purposes, though. :p

:stunned: That is absolutely ridiculous.

On that note, I witnessed drunk people for the first time ever Friday night. I was invited to "Power Hour," which consists of taking a shot of whatever you're drinking every 60 seconds. Of course, I didn't participate, but I did watch. An underage friend of mine used Captain Morgan for his shots and ended up finishing an entire bottle. He ended up passing out on the way to our bonfire parade, and the university police picked him up. He's in a crapload of legal trouble now.

Moral of the story: Don't be stupid.

Never done drugs, never want to either.
