Fooking money

Featured Replies

Dont you hate it when you feel like your living your life just to have material things that wont matter in the end cos we all are gonna die anyways? You study, work and keep that routine just to have money and then you die, it fucking sucks! i mean, it doesnt matter in the end cos when you die all you have is your body in a suit buried and in a coffin and that's it. Dont know why i'm saying this but i hate some people that think money is everything, sure it is important sometimes but its like they dont care about simple things in life, like just the fact of being alive and experiment diff feelings such love, hate, etc Dont know,it really annoys me when some 'rich' people look down on others just cos of their social position and stuff like that. Find it very stupid actually.. i think i'd prefer having a life in which i can try diff things and pay attention to simple things that no one notices that remain and last in my memory so when i die i wont feel any regret i wasted so much time thinking about how to make money that wont save me from death...

oh dont mind me, just watched amelie and made me think this way haha cheers

I only want to have enough money to buy the things I really need... I don't want to think every day where to get food... I never want to become very rich... just rich enough not to need to worry about essential things...

gathering a huge amount of useless stuff is insane... and rich people suck... :P

and amelie is a great movie, btw

yeah, that's what i think too...

our life consists of work ... and why do we work? because we need the damn money ... so ... money might be a huge part in our lives ... that's crap

I think the same like you ren......I mean....I wondered this so often........we work....to earn money....to live and this our whole life and then we die....strange somehow!

do you know of another way to make the world still run without money? It sucks how dependant we are on materialistic things, but that is the system and it may not be perfect, but i can't think of a different way to divide everything between millions. I believe you do have to work for what you get, that's life....... and it gives you a sense of pride when you gained more than you actually NEED

(rich people bu inheritence like the hilton sisters are a different story....)

Amelie - top film!

Have you seen 'Glory' with Denzel Washington and Matthew Broderick. That's a great example of 'we all go to the same place in the end, so watch how you treat others'....

I wonder why I bother sometimes [with life and material things...]

Money is very important.

Indeed, and moreover, smart thing is to make money work for you.

I just hate it when people diss money, and get all "I'm so spiritual, I don't need money, you rotten materialsts".

And as for Ren, I can only (mis)quote Alexander the great; "Where I stop, you continue".So IMHO, point of all that work is secure a better future for your offsprings, and also to advance.Imagine how world would have looked like if everyone adopted "this is all so pointless" mindset.

My 2 cents worth. :)

Good point but that's not what i meant, lately i see some people way too focus on working and studying to earn money..i mean i have this friend who always wanted to be a vet but that career doesnt pay as much as being a lawyer here so he studied that instead , not because he likes to be a lawyer but cos of the money..i kinda did the same, i got into college a few years ago for economics, studied for like 3 years and the quit, why? cos i hated it, i was just good at it and the money i'd make out of it in time would be good but i prefered to study and work in something i really liked ( music in my case) i might not earn as much as before but i'm doing what makes me feel 'alive' call it like that if you want. But i certainly feel more proud of myself when i study or work hard and achieve my objetive... a personal satisfaction that money cant give me.It's just that as time passes we worship more and more material things as if we couldnt live without them anymore, i feel grateful for all i have but i know nothing is forever..in the end we dont take any of those things to ' the other side'... and yeah agreed when it comes to inheritence... i really pity those spoiled kids who grow up in that kind of environment, i am not a hater or anything cos i'm not actually poor but i met people like that since i studied in a private school and had some really snobby friends.. i hated how they treated some people like crap just cos they didnt have enough money or as many cars as they and it was all fucked up...

anyways , thanks for posting here

Did i ever say i was spiritual somehow? Sorry if i dissed your god money dude, but i'm just stating my opinion.. Never said this life is pointless cos in the end is you who choose the way you live.. we all die but we dont choose how ( unless you commit suicide ) I agree that if i ever had children i'd try to give them the best cos they're my blood and i'd love them but always teaching them the value of money and whatever they might have since they were born is a bless and not something to show off, i hate some narrow-minded people that just bitch about shallow things like " oh fuck man, i couldnt get this car i wanted " or " i couldnt buy this rolex" or whatever using the money of their parents, there is extreme poverty is some parts of the world and sometimes i wish those spoiled kids lived a year in the shoes of a kid who has nothing to realize how stupid and shallow they are just for having money and feeling they have the right to do whatever they like... I suffer of depression and i have enough money thanks god, but i would change all the money i have, my car, my flat, my guitar and every material thing i own for 1 night of peace, 1 day of happiness but i cant have that.. money cant give me that.. but other simple things like just breathing, play a song on violin, look at the sky on my back on the roof of my flat ,smell the air of the sea.. that makes me feel glad i'm alive and experiment those feelings...Money certainly is important in this society but is not everything, think about it.

aw good luck hunni! see ya later and dont forget to :whip: the starbuck guys :sneaky:

look at all the people, going after money

far too many people looking for their money

such a rush, such a rush

I guess that's why I never have money  'cause I think "Well I'm gonna die anyway.. I might as well spend it on me or on something I like" and also I kinda have a bit of a problem with gambling :stunned: :worried: and I'm turning 21 and I'm already thinking of going to Las Vegas this year  to gamble :stunned: I think I need to be locked down :stunned: :uneasy: I don't have much money but to gamble the little that I have.. I'm gonna end up homeless. Plus, I just can't have money 'cause I spend it all on me and everyone else. I'm like one of those persons that want to buy something for everyone even if it's food. If you are with me and I have money, I'll pay everything for the both of us. I'm "rich" one week and poor the next  But I do dislike how some rich people think they are better and look down on people just because they have money  but what I hate the most is that some of them try to buy you off with money. I was brought up in a  well we were never rich :idea2: We never had any fancy cars.. we actually only had a van :stunned: which btw, I think my dad still has that van and it's probably older than I am :stunned: Anyway, we were never poor 'cause we always had what we needed somehow. But my parents are very social people and they do have some friends who are I guess you could say wealthy and sometimes they would take me with them & then I would have to socialize with their kids, but I was never a very social person. I'm more of a "Can you please leave me alone or you can sit next to me quietly, thanks  :embarrased: " My best memory of those persons is that on our graduation of 5th grade (can you believe that? Graduation of 5th grade? :o  ) One of the kids's parents owned several aparments (or at least that's what the kid said) anyway, we had a party at one of the aparments, I'm not sure in which floor it was but it was beautiful. We danced our asses off, we played games, it even had a balcony! :o It was so awesome..you know as a little kid who's never been anywhere that was amazing for me :D Anyway, that was one of my best childhood memories. :square: Now that I think about it  Is it too late to go to Disneyland? :idea2: hahah I've never been to Disneyland :P

Money is really important and essential, we all know, but I don't face it as something great at all! I mean, money can't buy happiness, love, friends...the real worth and important things. I dunno, but lots of rich people seem to be sad even with the bunch of money and things they have. As I already said, you can't find in money the feelings that make you feel alive. I think that everything would be so easier if people worked with love and worked with something that they really like...People who don't have much more are the happiest thought, because they give value to the things they have and they care about it. As Maia, if I had money I'd definetely use a good part of it to do charity work as well. That would make me happy.
