I think I read about it on nme.com or something.

Hopefully it is out before I go away for the summer.

I wonder if they will ever update their website, its said New Site Coming 2006 for quite some time now.

I love Razorlight but unfortunately I haven't heard their whole album. After watching them perform at Live 8 I got hooked on "somewhere else" and downloaded a few more songs of theirs from that but i'd really like to get the album. So how many albums have they released? Is this their second one coming soon?

They have just released one, Up All Night, which I strongly recommend. Word is they are currently working on their second album and it should be out in the next year I believe.

Interesting that you say you got hooked on them because of Somewhere Else at Live 8, well that's how I heard about them and started listening to them like crazy.

^Woohooo! I was just reading about this today in NME. :)

Exciting stuff!...I'm really looking forward to hearing more of their stuff, top band.

I heard the new single, it sounds great...not the best but I think I need to hear it a few more times.

Razorlight Blasts Rivals, Including Coldplay

Razorlight have slammed rival bands who keep churning out the same old material.

Frontman Johnny Borrell says fans can expect variety in their new album - a veiled jibe at other bands, including Coldplay and U2, which play safe. He told Britain's NME magazine: "We're not one to do a formula and repeat it 10 times, we like to write songs."

The band is facing a race against time to finish their second album. The deadline to complete the record is in two weeks - but some tracks are still not finished and the album is untitled. Borrell said: "There's a couple of songs where there's more work to be done and it's always a worry until you've finished."

However, Razorlight have decided what their new single will be. 'In The Morning' - a favourite of the band - hits the airwaves this week and will be released on July 3. Borrell said: "From the moment it was born I really liked it and it was one of the first contenders for the album."

It seems to have become fashionable to slag off Coldplay..........................I suppose that's when you know you've reached mega-group status!

I can only laugh at this

things are becoming soooo predictable :dozey:

I can handle some dickwad insulting Coldplay, indeed, I'm quite used to that.

But U2?

Oh, mother fucker, you just earned a spot on the top of my "When I Get A Gun These People Are The First To Go" list. :veryangry:

^ LOL

*sigh*

i can't really say they're a terrible band cos Razorlight is out of my radar but ----have they done such life changing music then?

if not this new album better be the best thing that has happened on earth since the creation of choc truffles....................

I'm just getting sick of all this, that's all. I resent "artists" who do this, because it alienates whole groups of people from listening to their music. People like Liam Gallagher I don't mind slagging off other bands at ALL, because it's funny and done in jest. Plus Oasis is one of my favorite bands. However... When I see someone insulting two of my favorite groups (and saying totally untrue and totally unfounded things about them!), well... I'll never listen to Razorlight. I won't say they're bad, but I will never listen to them. And they could be AMAZING. But because of this crap, they're just another wannabe shitbag group.
