We seriously DON'T! And there's lots of people who'd turn up! I'd MAKE people turn up! I've been turning my friends onto them, they like them a lot. You can't ever gain complete popularity by just playing a few venues in one place. The few venues MIGHT keep getting bigger and bigger, and you may have to play to only 80 people when you come to the States (I'm talking about DPT here, I suppose lmfao)... but... if you keep doing it, well, eventually those will get bigger. And everyone will love you. And you make lots of money and everyone is happy.

And you know, I don't get how people say that DPT lost money on their American tour? They only played like 5 dates, and to my knowledge all of them sold out. The Great Scott show was sold out.... and they played the Bowery in NYC twice, both 18+ and 21+ and those sold out, which is a big thing.

 

Damn, yanno? And I'm positive if they went to South America or Sweden they'd sell out as well. It's just not really that fair... :\ And I'm obviously not insinuating that it's the boys in the band making the decisions, since I know it's not ;) Just in general....

And ditto to everything said on the choice of places to play. Don't know who exactly decides that, but they are very wrong a lot of the times. Can't they do some sort of analysis to realise people would actually turn up at gigs somewhere outside the UK? Arghh it's so annoying sometimes :(

That's one of those things I never understood either... Seems kinda weird that you can lose money from sold out gigs but maybe we're just stupid :laugh3:

 

 

 

They would sell out here. There are so many fangirls and fanboys that love Peter which means that they love Carl. Yeti probably wouldn't yet but heck, I'd go and act like it was sold out :lol:

 

But to be honest I think it's more likely that the people go to the gigs outside the UK or even the US with some artists, it's not very often good bands come there and nothing stops it ya know... I've gone to gigs even though I was sick just cause you never know if they'll come back :(
