The NME is aweful. I got my Libs calendar poster, though!

Quite like a lot of the albums in the top 10. But I'd have taken a couple out and put some more in ;) ugh.

fuck 'em, though. oh well. not like they speak for the masses, eh?

Very true

I was really happy with the top 10 albums

btw , Were do you get the nme in america ?

They sell it in some shops, mainly Borders bookstore, but not in my state. So I had to subscribe to it. Their writing may be shit most of the time, but the pictures are quite nice :laugh4:

Ohh nice ,

Yeap the photo's defenelty make it worth it

and the fact that its kind of the only magazine who write's about the bands i like

This is really random, but I can't help making the connection whenever I listen to 'If You Love A Woman' and 'The Ballad Of Reading Gaol' by Oscar Wilde.

From the poem:

And all men kill the thing they love,

By all let this be heard,

Some do it with a bitter look,

Some with a flattering word,

The coward does it with a kiss,

The brave man with a sword!

From the song:

If you love a woman you mustn’t beat her

And if shes got a lover I’d like to meet her

The instinct I have is to kill the thing I love

And it seems to come so natural

I can never never get enough

I mean, obviously not similiar. But I think that the influence is there. Wilde is my number one poet/19th century or whatev gay lovah :laugh4: soooo yeah, I just always love these comparisons. Always thought Peter was the only one to pull it off, but I don't think so!

/done rambling.

The last pages :stunned: Made me realize, I freaking love you people!(even the ones watching...er Hi! *waves*) :laugh4:

No srlsy. I do

We get NME here in the states, but a) late b)only in a few places, most likely far away :laugh4:

Now that's a comparison. I can see the similarity :stunned:

I have this thing with Wilde, I love his selective quotes, some poems and a story here and there. I hate some stuff he did, yet he still one of my favs :laugh4:

I read the poem awhile ago, and when I heard the DPT song it just popped REALLY out to me. I really love Wilde, and yeah there's some things that I... yeah, just don't read :laugh4: Like any great artist or writer ;) But he's just awesome to me. Love it.

Totally agreeing about the poem, it's quite similar actually... Never thought about it before.

Isn't Wilde one of Carl's favorites? Or is that Peter?

I am freaking out right now. I just wanted to inform you in case I melt or something.

:dead:

:uhoh:
