Hello everyone?! Apple is FOUR years old! Why the hell is it wrong for a 4 year old not to wear clothes? I can't believe people think it's weird and not right for a tiny child to run around nude... I think it's weird that people find a naked child so offensive. It's the most natural thing - she's totally innocent and she shouldn't be made to feel ashamed of her body. Geez, lighten up... it's not like she has anything to hide...

 

As for the paps being around to photograph it. It's not Apple's nakedness that is weird. It is the fact that strangers are allowed to snap pictures of little kids on holiday and sell them. That's what's wrong.

Yes, given the temperatures, I think it's quite normal to want to run around naked out of doors! But those damn photosnappers - they aught to get a good dose of their own medicine once, and feel how it feels having their family put into a similar situations. Funny how they never consider consideration for others...:thinking:

Gwyneth Paltrow has been named the 2008 ambassador for the Key to the Cure campaign with Saks Fifth Avenue. Paltrow will be the sixth Oscar-winning actress to become the ambassador to the program, which has raised over $28 million for cancer institutions.

 

The actress, who lost her father from the disease in 2002, stated, “If there is anything I can do to help raise money, especially with a charity like this, I will. I read about the charity and how aggressively they are trying to find a cure, not only for women’s cancers but also for other cancers. They target a lot of different areas out there. They support people who are coming up with innovative ideas to cure cancer. It’s an issue that touched me in a lot of ways.”

 

Karl Lagerfeld has created this year's T-shirt to benefit the campaign. The $40 tee features two arrows crossing on its front with a heart, and illustration of the designer himself on the back. Items will be available Oct. 16-19 at Saks stores, Off 5th Stores, and Saks.com.

Gwyneth Paltrow models the 2008 KEY TO THE CURE limited edition T-shirt by Karl Lagerfeld designed exclusively for Saks Fifth Avenue in partnership with the Entertainment Industry Foundation.

 

The T-shirt will retail for $40 and over $35 from each sale will benefit EIF’s Women’s Cancer Research Fund.

 

Renowned photographer Julian Broad generously donated his time to photograph Gwyn for the campaign.

Gwyneth Paltrow films ad for Barack Obama

 

Gwyneth Paltrow has urged fellow Americans living abroad to vote for Barack Obama in a new advertisement.

 

The American actress, who lives in London with her husband, Chris Martin, the singer in the rock group Coldplay, leads a video encouraging ex-pats to register to vote from overseas in the presidential election in November.

 

Speaking alongside several other Americans living abroad, Miss Paltrow says: "Start now - right now. I'll be voting from London, but you can vote from anywhere. If you live abroad, you've got to do it. Every single vote will count."

 

She asks American ex-pats: "Where on earth will you vote?" The video concludes: "Vote Democrat. Vote Obama. Vote From Abroad."

 

The video, which will be distributed on the internet, was produced by Democrats Abroad, a division of the party devoted to persuading the millions of Americans living outside the country and eligible to vote to keep participating in domestic politics.

 

The organisation estimates that while more than six million registered Democrats live abroad, only one million ballots were requested by all US citizens overseas for the 2006 mid-term Congressional elections.

 

Mr Obama's lead in opinion polls has been cut by aggressive television advertising by Republican candidate John McCain portraying him as elitist, presumptuous and celebrity-obsessed.

 

The advertisements, which have been credited to Mr McCain's new senior adviser Steve Schmidt, have likened Mr Obama to celebrities such as Britney Spears and Paris Hilton.

 

A Gallup poll on Friday showed the two candidates are now tied, where a week before Mr Obama had held a nine-point lead.

 

Expressing her hope that the new video will give Mr Obama a boost, Christine Schon Marques, the International Chair of Democrats Abroad, said: "This is a critical election, and we urge all Americans living abroad to request ballots now.

 

"We hope that this video along with our other efforts will help Americans, including over 200,000 American students studying abroad, vote for change this fall."

 

In April Miss Paltrow was among the guests at a fundraising party held in London for Mr Obama by Elisabeth Murdoch, the daughter of the media tycoon Rupert.
