Gwyneth Paltrow (Best Actress, 1999, 'Shakespeare in Love') keeps her Oscar in storage, according to the Scottish Daily Record, who quoted her as saying, "I don't want that thing in my house. It scares me."

 

but some of the others are quite sweet and/or funny

 

It comes across as quite snotty, but when she won that her grandfather was dying and her father had just been diagnosed with cancer and obv. we all know what happened when she broke down as she won it. I can kind of see what she means, she got so much flack.
