From Laineygossip (yeh I know) but this sounds true and Gwyneth is on a program in Madrid on Monday so they may going back to Europe next week.

'Here are Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin on their way to school today with the kids. G has apparently been in LA prepping 33 Dias with Antonio Banderas which is expected to start shooting at the end of the month in Paris. Banderas plays Pablo Picasso during the period when he was working on Guernica and G is his lovericon1.png and muse Dora Maar'

Well she's in Spain now, so this turned out true!

She's also on a local TV show tonight called "EL HORMIGUERO"

man!!!! she looks stunning in that dress! :wideeyed:

I love that red dress!

She looks great in the leather dress. If I wore that, I'd look like a tire!

I don't think Nancy speaks Spanish

It was worth a shot :D

More pics here as well (she cooked with her "Spanish Mama".

I don't speak Spanish either but because it's similar to Portuguese I can understand almost everything so here are some main points until someone more knowledgeable steps in:

. Gwyneth explains that she can speak Spanish because she has participated in an exchange programme when she was 15 years old. She stayed with a family in Talaverna, Spain. The interviewer thinks her accent is sexy.

. Gwyneth is only staying for a day in Spain. She likes Spanish food like tortillas and seafood.

. The interviewer says he doesn't know where to put perfume. Gwyneth explains him that under his ears is a good place so that he can smell good all night.

. Gwyneth says she used to go out in Spain and knows how to do the typical Spanish toast.

. Gwyneth explains how winning an Oscar felt like an out of body experience. Her Spanish family was there too. The video of the actual moment is shown and she gets a little emotional specially because her father was by her side.

. Gwyneth explains that she went to Paris with her father when she was 10 years old. Her mother was filming a movie in England. They stayed at the Ritz. When they were coming back home her father told her: "do you know why I took you to Paris? Because I want you to see Paris for the first time with a men that is going to love you forever"

(Gosh I knew this already, that's really sweet).

. The interviewer asks Gwyneth if she spoke with the Oscar nominees after she won and she says that she did and everyone was kind.

. Gwyneth explains how she warned her grandfather that she would be naked in the movie before he saw Shakespeare in Love.

. The interviewer praises her singing abilities saying that she could be a professional singer.

So nothing new I think. This is only from the first video!

I can do this for the other videos if you want me too.

It made it much easier to follow the interview after reading this. Did she say that her Spanish family was at the Oscars when she won? I couldn't really follow what she was saying about them regarding her Oscar win.

Shows that 24 hours in Madrid. Thanks to el hormiguero, tavern Laredo (amazing dinner) and # HugoBoss. Until next time. I love you.

I think it's more like "what spectacular 24 hrs in Madrid"

ahh! Such a great book! And she was smiling all the time :) Awww!

Nice to be useful since you girls always keep me updated. :nice:

Just re-watched this part. So at around 5:30 she says that when she won the Oscar she was with her Spanish family, her brother Jesus and her sister Cristina. Apparently, before winning the Oscar, Jesus told her that if she won she would have to say "viva la madre que me pario". Ok so I don't even know if that is the correct spelling or how to properly translate it but it means literally something like "viva the mother who gave birth to me" which I guess is funny in Spanish.

Perhaps someone with a better understanding of Spanish can explain this better. :)

I think it's more like "what spectacular 24 hrs in Madrid"

So I'm a bit confused, she has Spanish family? How? I thought she has only one brother - Jake. Sorry if it's a stupid question ;)

Ok some other things from the other videos:

'Borriquito como tu':

The interviewer says that this usually happens in the show and points to the two guitars in the back. Gwyneth: "oh no". The interviewer hands her one guitar saying that it is already connected. He asks her to sing something live. Gwyneth: "no. why? noo." Audience: "yeees". Gwyneth explains that she hasn't played guitar for a really long time and says the if the interviewer plays she can sing something. The interviewer plays 'Borriquito como tu' and asks Gwyneth to sing along. He explains that 'Borriquito como tu' means donkey like you or I am smarter than you and finishes by saying that no one ever knew the exact meaning of the song. He continues the song: 'Borriquito como tu' that doesn't even know a-e-i-o-u. Only then does the interviewer conclude that the song might be a little complicated for Gwyneth.

El Gwynethpaltrowizador:

. The interviewer says that it is now time to talk about work after saying that Gwyneth is now the face for Hugo Boss. He asks her about a movie that she's going to do with Antonio Banderas which is called 33 days. She explains that the movie is about the time Picasso took to paint "Guernica". She says that they are going to film in Spain, that her role is in Spanish and that it is the first time she is going to speak in Spanish for a movie. Gwyneth is all like "let's see how it goes" and the interviewer says that she speaks Spanish perfectly with an accent that makes her lovely (flirting much?).

. Some strange dolls pop up in the set and a game called El Gwynethpaltrowizador starts. Gwyneth has to guess the name of the person in which her face becomes (see for yourself it's easier!). One of them is Madonna so the interviewer comments that she has a lot of friends who are female singers. Gwyneth explains that Beyonce, along with Beyonce's husband, is her best friend female singer. She says she knows Lady Gaga a bit and Madonna as well.

. The interviewer asks what does Gwyneth talk about with Beyonce and the doll says that they probably practice "All the single ladies" together. Gwyneth responds "only on Wednesdays" (a bit of a Chris Martin type of humour don't you think?).

Tortilla de patatas con Gwyneth Paltrow

. The interviewer says that they are now going to talk about Gwyneth's cooking abilities and her love for Spanish food. He shows a bit of a programme that she participated in which is called "Spain on the Road Again".

. The interviewer says that Gwyneth is going to cook Tortilla de patatas (patatas = potatoes) and confesses that he never cooked a tortilla. He asks her, an American, to teach him, a Spanish guy, how to do one. Gwyneth says she has an idea: her Spanish mother cooks the best tortilla in the world and she's there. She says "Mummy where are you?"

. When the mom comes the interviewer asks her: "she's like a daughter to you?" and the mom says "it's like one more daughter". Interviewer: "Well she has come out well". Mom: "yes she's wonderful".

. The interviewer says that if the mom doesn't help he has no idea what to do. The mom comments that the potatoes are minced too much (do you say this in English?). The interviewer starts copying the mom.

. As the recipe needs eggs, the interviewer comments "I hope that your dress is not too expensive Gwyneth because some eggs might ruin it".

. The interviewer asks about the salt. The mom asks: "but this doesn't have salt already? This is a disaster because the salt should have been there already". Interviewer: "but we didn't know". Mom: "no problem, we will put it now". The interviewer comments that the mom must have been really strict to Gwyneth in the past.

El cuento magico:

. The interviewer presents the man in black. The man says: "you have asked me to write a book with the best moments of Gwyneth life so I wrote a small story. It's a special book. You can see that nothing is written on it, that's because it is only about your life if you read it" (whaaat?)

. Book: "once upon a time, a girl was born in LA. The girl started to grow up and at 15 years old she came to Talavera to learn Spanish which delighted her. She continued to grow and went to California to study Art History. But the girl had other concerns and quickly moved to NY to be an actress. Her god father, Steven Spielberg, believed in her from the beginning. And she attained the better achievement an actor can achieve, she won an Oscar for Shakespeare in Love. She married Chris Martin, the lead singer of Coldplay and had two wonderful kids (her smile here is really sweet ). Who knows to where she will get?"

La moneda canival

. Men that shows up: "We have here two dangerous coins which seem to be normal coins. But they are coins which feed on other coins." Ok, it's a magic trick. The man explains that those are real coins but that one of the coins is actually a vegetarian, though it has eaten anoter coin (). The interviewer asks if Gwyneth is a vegetarian, she says: "Yes, a little".

. The man makes Gwyneth say: "I am really surprised!"

Frases de niños con Gwyneth Paltrow

. Interviewer: "There's one thing we normally do on the show which is called Children's sentences. Children send us sentences and we put it all in a book to help an organisation which helps children. Because your Spanish is so good, I thought: why not do Children's sentences with Gwyneth?".

. The first story is about a boy who asked his grandmother who lived in the church, after she told him that it was someone who would punish him. The grandmother answers Jesus, and the boy asks "why don't we give him a "paliza"? (Google translator says "paliza" means: beating or punishment. I have never heard this word, sorry.)

. The second story is about a boy who went to visit the Miró museum. When he gets home her parents asked him if he liked the paintings. He answers "yes, I liked them a lot but did Miró also paint?"

. Third one: a boy asks his mother what the dinner is and the mother says that it's "repollo" (Google says it's cabbage in English). Boy says "I'll only have the pollo". (pollo= chicken in Spanish)

. One girl heard her parents saying the word abortion (aborto in Spanish) and tells her mother she had studied that word in school. Her mother tells her that that is impossible. Girl says: "yes, look june, july, aborto, september" (august in Spanish is "agosto", like in Portuguesa actually, so the girl must have thought they sounded the same).

. Other girl was playing with her mom. Mother was saying words and she was saying the opposites, like tall/short. Mother says "mira"(=look), girl says "mercadona" (I have no idea what this means, sorry).

. Another girl was putting cream (crema in Spanish) and says that, because she likes to put cream so much, when she grows up she would like to be "cremallera" (which is a rack according to google).

. Last girl: she was sitting in her parents car and saw the sign which means it is forbidden to turn left. She said: look mum, here boomerangs are not allowed.

Gosh, I'm tired!

Enjoy!

Does she say anything about Chris?

No. They only mention that she is married to him and that they have two kids.

So I'm a bit confused, she has Spanish family? How? I thought she has only one brother - Jake. Sorry if it's a stupid question ;)

Gwyneth lived in Spain for a short time when she was 15 years old. She stayed with a Spanish family that she now calls her Spanish family.

Amazing job - thanks so much!
