This thread is pathetic. Aren't you supposed to be fans of COLDPLAY?

You're entitled to your opinion, but I think the key thing on this board should be toleration.

The subject of Gwyneth is not offensive and it is related to Coldplay, so people should tolerate what people want to write about. There are good moderators here to stop offensive threads. Leave it to them to decide what is appropriate or not.

If someone does not agree with the thread or is not interested in reading it, then they simply don't have to click on it. That is the way it works. If you would prefer to discuss other coldplay related themes, then create some new threads or find ones you like.

It is more offensive and damaging to the board to have people calling other users 'pathetic' and that kind of name calling. Lets just try to tolerate each other, or don't post here.

She looks really cute in the last pics. :)

i agree. i hope the lil cute clan has a good xmas!

Gwyneth visits Stella McCartney and new baby

Does anyone else feel like she took FOREVER to get to the car door?

p.s. cute outfit

This isn't related to Coldplay. Do these pictures have anything to do with dissection of lyrics? Or what kind of direction the band is going in? No, it's pictures of Chris Martins movie star wife. Not at all related to Coldplay.

I frequent other bands message boards and I don't see stuff like this. It's ridiculous and off topic. You cannot say that Gwyneth Paltrow has anything to do with the band Coldplay.

Oh, I do go to threads I like. I just also would like to point out how stupid this thread is.

If you read correctly, I didn't call any user pathetic, I said this thread is pathetic. Which isn't to say I have any problems calling users as I see them.

Okay, Tom. Whatever you say. I actually don't care about the point enough to carry on the discussion. For Christmas peace and harmony on the board, perhaps it's more constructive not to voice opinions about how good, or bad, people's threads are.

Merry Christmas everyone! :) :)

You simply cannot strike down any of my points.

You simply cannot strike down any of my points.

Oh for goodness sake Tom. Is there something wrong with you?! I guess you're just not in the Christmas spirit...

Well, okay. I disagree that Gwyneth has nothing to do with the music of Coldplay. On the contrary, a large number of songs from X&Y were written about or for Gwyneth.

'Fix You', for example, is written for Gwyneth after her father died. Is about her loss and Chris' desire to help her through her grief. The whole album is dedicated to her father. So, yes, Gwyneth, her family, and the couple's relationship does actually relate to the music of Coldplay. In the same way many artists have a muse, Chris' wife is an influence for his lyrics.

As for the rest of your points, they are not really arguments - just you looking to get a rise from people. So, I really can't be bothered to answer them...

So, again, I hope you had a good Christmas.

Dear TomPiltof,

Theres no sence in argueing with these girls,

they just dont seem to see things in the same fashion as us.

Let them go on with carring on about things that are irrelevant to Coldplay on a Coldplay board.

:laugh4:

But I will add that the Lounge is a fine place to carry on,

People that wanted to talk about good looking men irrelevant to Coldplay started a Sexyfit Men thread,

You should start a Sexy Fit Women thread ladys, maybe that would be a good idea for you to get your sexy fit Gwyneth fix.

:laugh4:

I really don't want to argue this out either... I tried to end this a few posts ago.

But before you start criticising us 'girls' Mandy, you may want to look back at your own posting history. I seem to remember you posting about Guy's wife Joanna, calling her 'Gold Bag Lady', and commenting on the other girlfriends. How exactly is that any better than posting pictures of Gwyneth? In fact, if anything it is worse.

Perhaps everyone - me, Tom and Mandy, should stop being so self-rightious and end this. It must be getting boring for everyone else that posts in this form to listen to other people debating... Lets just agree to disagree and get on with the threads that we want to post in.

Thats before I saw how pointless and stupid it is to pay attention to such things.

How long ago was it now?

And the Gold Bag Lady thread was a humor element.

But still I admit, was a stupid thing to acknowlege.

Thats why I dont pay attention to any longer,

and damn, if they boys were'nt so damn cute

I would probably find the picture threads quite pointless also.

But atleast there still about the members of Coldplay

I don't think Jonna would think that it was that funny to have the way she dresses taken the piss out of by people who have never met her. I seem to remember people were pretty mean about her appearance. I would say 99% of people in the Gwyneth thread are very positive about her. Being mean about someone - for a 'joke' or otherwise - is worse, in my book...

Perhaps, you should be less judgemental of others, seeing as you were in exactly the same place a while ago. Changing you view on something does give you the automatic right to preach to those who didn't change with you.

I dont care how Gwyneth Paltrow dresses, I dont care how Joanna dresses.

Hell, I barely care how the people that are actually people I know dress.

So why would I care if the Gwyneth thread is positive or not.

"Perhaps, you should be less judgemental of others, seeing as you were in exactly the same place a while ago. Changing you view on something does give you the automatic right to preach to those who didn't change with you."

How shall I say this..Im not really preaching, just pointing out how you still have the exact mentality as you did nearly 2 years ago, while mine has changed into a more sencefull one.

But to each its own, I really dont care how you are progressing.

I just find this whole thread funny.

I didnt mean that in an asulting way, just so you know..

I know it sounds like it, but thats not how I meant it.

well, it kinda did, but thanks for saying that.

Ironically, just so you know, i have probably posted in the Gwyneth thread less than even you. In fact, this debate is the most posts I've ever done in here. And for the record, I've never posted anything bad about Guy's wife's appearance and never obsessed over or critsised any of them.

I just believe that each people should be free to post what they want, as long as it is not rude or offensive.

Okay, so lets go back to appreciating what we have in common... the boys and their music :)

Well, okay. I disagree that Gwyneth has nothing to do with the music of Coldplay. On the contrary, a large number of songs from X&Y were written about or for Gwyneth.

So what? Do I discuss Volkswagen's on AtEaseWeb because Thom Yorke wrote a song titled 'Airbag'? No.

You're in this thread just looking at tabloid pictures of Chris Martins celebrity wife, you aren't discussing where he might have gotten inspiration.

You know you this thread wouldn't exist if she weren't a celebrity. You just view her as something else to coo over regarding your favorite band and it's pointless.

As for the rest of your points, they are not really arguments - just you looking to get a rise from people. So, I really can't be bothered to answer them...

No, they're points. And your whole "Oh let's just end this and be friends" act is incredibly transparent. You cannot justify this oohing and ahhing over Gwyneth Paltrow, it has nothing to do with Coldplay.

Uhm, whatever you guys are arguing about, I suggest you both drop it. :)

It doesn't seem like Tom will ever let up, so I'd stop now.

Tom, my friendliness is actually genuine. I have nothing against you at all and I totally respect your view. I just like a good debate! What is great about this forum is that people can debate things and still stay friendly and once it's over, no one holds any grudges :)

But I do agree with Alyssa. This should end here. Or at least, if you want to carry on lets do it by PM, so poor Alyssa and everyone doesn't have to listen to it! :P ;)

Some Gwyneth and Chris news:

Celebrities’ offspring born in 2006 year

There were just tons of debuts this year as famous person were having and adopting children all over the place.

Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, the children of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt was perhaps the most high profile of the newcomers and exclusive publication rights for her first pictures were sold for charity for $4million, as Fametastic reports.

Suri Cruise’s first photos were also highly anticipated and caused a media storm when they were published in Vanity Fair, almost five months after her birth in April. Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise’s decision to keep their daughter out of the spotlight until then prompted a huge amount of speculation about Suri’s parentage and appearance.

Madonna’s adoption of a baby boy, David, also tipped in highly on the speculations. She was rumored to be setting up an adoption for most of the year and during her trip to Malawi in October, denials of adoption plans came as quickly as the rumors that she’d chosen 13 month old David.

According to Fametastic, Jayden Federline, second son of Britney Spears and Kevin Federline and Dannielynn Hope Marshall Stern, daughter of Anna Nicole Smith and either Howard K Stern or Larry Birkhead, both born in September, had high profile starts to their lives not because of their own births but because of the storms around their parents’ others activities: Britney and Kevin’s divide in November and the death of Anna Nicole’s son and her subsequent paternity and property battles.

Other celebrities celebrating new arrivals in 2006:

1. Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin had a second child, a baby Moses boy in April.

2. Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale had their first child together, a son named Kingston.

3. Matt Damon joined pal Ben Affleck in the dad’s club when daughter Isabella was born to Matt and his wife Luciana in June.

4. Supermodel Linda Evangelista gave birth to her first child, a baby boy Augustin a few days later.

5. Stella McCartney for the fourth time gave birth to her second baby, a girl called Bailey, recently this month.

6. Heidi Klum had her third child in just over three years in November, a baby boy named Johan, with husband Seal.

The Ten Most Notable Celebrity Baby Names of 2006

Tue Dec 26, 7:00 AM ET

Wilton, CT (PRWeb) December 26, 2006 -- The Celebrity Baby Names Blog, the internet's leading website dedicated to celebrity baby names, has released its 2006 list of the Ten Most Notable Celebrity Baby Names. The list presents the most notable, newsworthy names given by celebrities to their babies in 2006. It also highlights the trendsetting names chosen by celebrities - names that may become more popular in the years ahead.

# 1. Shiloh Nouvel.

Only the second coming of the Messiah could rival the media hysteria of May, 2006, as the world waited for Angelina to give birth. When little Shiloh finally arrived, her name sparked surprisingly little controversy. Who cared if a few party poopers associated "Shiloh" was some bloodstained Civil War battlefield? Brad and Angelina had picked the name, and therefore it was good. The most-anticipated baby in human history had arrived. Mother and daughter were doing fine. It was only May, 2006, but the celebrity baby of the year had arrived.

# 2. Suri.

In April, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes announced the birth of their daughter, Suri. What did "Suri" mean? No-one knew really knew. Various meanings were tossed around. Then, one meaning surfaced that "Suri" meant "pointy-nosed" among the Toda people of southern India. For many reasons, Suri's stock was sinking fast. So Tom and Katie, Inc. went into full damage-control mode. October's Vanity Fair magazine was graced with a touching photo spread that portrayed little Suri with her doting parents. It worked. Everyone now loves little Suri. Even though no-one still knows what the name really means.

# 3. Jayden James.

Is it Sutton? Is it Jesse? Is it a boy? Is it a girl? September was a month of frenzied speculation, as everyone awaited the birth of Britney Spears's and Kevin Federline's second child. First, everyone thought 'he' would be a 'she'. Wrong. Then everyone thought his name was Sutton Pierce. Wrong again. But more than a month passed before the world learned the shocking truth: little Sutton Pierce was really named Jayden James. Jayden means "Thankful" in Hebrew. The little guy is likely be anything but thankful, when he's old enough to understand where he landed.

# 4. Dannielynn Hope.

In September, the tragic death of Anna Nicole Smith's 20 year-old son touched everyone. In the soap opera of Anna Nicole's life, it seemed that Daniel was an innocent bystander. Smith's daughter was born a few days before Daniel's death, and by naming her Dannielynn Hope, in honor of a brother she will never know, Smith at least did one thing well.

# 5.Moses.

When Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin named their son Moses, it left many observers puzzled. Why? Back in 2004 they named their daughter Apple. Did they now pick an ultra-traditional name to compensate? Sadly, it doesn't seem to have worked. Now all anyone can focus on is the sibling combination they have created: Apple and Moses. It just doesn't work. Maybe Penn Jillette is right. Give the first one a weird name, give 'em all a weird name.

# 6. Zolten.

No celebrity baby name list is complete without a clanger from Penn Jillette and wife Emily Zolten. Last year, they named their daughter Moxie Crimefighter. This year, they named their son "Zolten," which happens to be Mrs. Jillette's maiden name. And they would have gotten away with it, except that in explaining their choice, Jillette stated that "most importantly, it's the name of Dracula's dog." And that's the meaning that has stuck.

# 7. Johnnie Rose.

Before you leap to conclusions, Johnnie Rose is the daughter of Melissa Etheridge & Tammy Lynn Michaels. Johnnie may be an unusual name for a girl, but when did being unusual ever stop a celebrity? Little Johnnie Rose is named in honor of Melissa Etheridge's father, who, according to a post on Tammy Lynn Michael's blog, was a very important figure in her early life.

# 8. Thijs.

How do you pronounce 'Thijs?' Good question. Today Show host Matt Lauer and wife Annette Roque slapped the unpronounceable moniker on their newborn son in November. Why? Well, because Annette is Dutch, and "Thijs" is an abbreviation of the shortened Dutch variant of Matthew. And it's pronounced "Tice." Why not just name him Matt Junior?

# 9. Jesse James.

Daughter (one of twins) born to media mogul Diddy and his girlfriend Kim Porter. It's not every day a little girl is given the same name as famous outlaw Jesse James. According to a Diddy spokesperson, the name was in honor of Diddy's grandmother, Jessie. Time for a spellcheck?

# 10. Tennyson.

The son of Russell Crowe and Danielle Spencer. Russell Crowe is supposedly a big fan of the 19th century British poet, Alfred, Lord Tennyson. If it's true, Crowe is the only person since Queen Victoria to admire Tennyson. Generations of British schoolchildren learned to hate the stuffy poet, and it's likely that Crowe, Jr. will also.

Paltrow mother adores London at Christmas

Gwyneth Paltrow's mother Blythe Danner adores London at Christmas as it reminds her of childhood holidays.

Danner visited her actress daughter and her family in London last year and she is set to do this as well this year. She just can't wait for the English capital to turn into a winter wonderland of carolers and well-mannered taxi drivers.

"I love London. Last Christmas I was there and I couldn't get over it; I felt like I was back in my childhood (in New York) because there were carolers coming to the house. Once in a while you'd get a group of carolers in the states but, in London, I had at least six or seven sets of carolers coming to our door”, said Paltrow's mother quoted by Contactmusic.

"I had at least six or seven taxi drivers dressed as gentlemen who were playing Christmas music and waited for me to get in the house. This feels like how I grew up as a girl; it was very civilized. I loved it", added Mrs. Danner.
