Pitt-Paltrow Big Apple love-nest sold for $1.8 mln

 

 

Washington, Nov. 18 : A New York based house that was shared by actor Brad Pitt and actress Gwyneth Paltrow while they were dating, has reportedly been sold by the latter's mother, Blythe Danner.

 

'The Greenwich Village' is said to have fetched Danner 1.8 million dollars, reports Contactmusic.

 

According to society magazine Gotham, the two-bedroom apartment, which was used by Pitt and Paltrow when they were engaged in the 1990s, faces Washington Square.

 

Paltrow broke her engagement to Pitt in 1997, as she felt that they could not maintain a healthy marriage while pursuing acting careers.

 

In December 2003, she settled with 'Coldplay' lead singer Chris Martin, with whom she has a two-year old daughter, Apple, and a son, Moses, born in April this year.

 

On the other hand, Pitt is in a relationship with Hollywood beauty Angelina Jolie, and is joint legal guardian of her two adopted children, Maddox and Zahara, and father to her daughter Shiloh Nouvel.

Gwyneth upsets American fans - AGAIN

 

 

Sigh.. Gwyneth Paltrow has obviously learned nothing from past interviews. After already upsetting American fans by smashing their culture, saying she preferred Britain and hating life in the US, she has now issued a similar statement in a Portuguese magazine:

 

"I love the English lifestyle, it's not as capitalistic as America. People don't talk about work and money, they talk about interesting things at dinner."

 

"I like living here because I don't fit into the bad side of American psychology. The British are much more intelligent and civilized than the Americans", she added.

 

This is probably gonna end up even worse than her past statements - people all over the internet are furious, calling her a 'little tramp' and a 'typical big mouth airhead blonde actress'. Gwyneth has always been honest about her feelings for America, which she only visits when she shoots movies or spends time at her home in New York City to be close to her mum.

She has every right to prefer one place over another, but she shouldn't generalize Americans and say they aren't civilized, that's kinda rude. Thats a cute pic of her though.

According to the American Foreign Press, the pompous Paltrow said in an interview with Portugal’s weekend magazine NS that she prefers Britian to America.

 

“I like living here, because I don’t fit into the bad side of American psychology,” the “Shakespeare in Love” star said. “The British are much more intelligent and civilized than the Americans.”

 

The 34-year-old actress lives in the mother country with her British hubby, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, and the couple’s two children.

 

And despite the horrors of British cooking, the expatriate Paltrow declared that she prefers dinner conversation in Great Britain over that spoken in the United States.

I think that wasn't very nice of her to say... she might think that/that might be her opinion and I have no problem with that, but I don't think she should have said that to a reporter/newspaper.

 

I'm just saying, this has made me like her that much less.

Well, I'd rather live in England than American anyway..So, I'd be inclined to agree with her. I don't think what she says is a "slap in the face" to America. This country is nice, but it IS a bit capitalistic. Not going to lie

You cant really generalize the whole country.

Thats like saying that just because I'm from Michigan,

that I must be ghetto and violent. Im sure that England has its trash, as does America, Iceland, Germany, Russia, and so on.

She must have been basing her group of friends around uncivil people, Because I dont feel that the US as a whole is uncivilized.
