Yeah, when I saw the breaking news at work I first thought about Kara! I really hope her flight to New York wasn't canceled.

 

It's crazy! All Tv-channels here have specials news, only because of the situation in Great Britain. All flights to the UK were canceled so you can't book flights at easyjet.de to London. :( IMO a bit exaggerated....

Well her phone has been switched off all day, so im hoping that means she's on a flight and hers was one of the few that wasn't cancelled.

 

It's pretty freaky. I keep hearing the news in the other room and hearing "a house in High Wycombe..." :wreck: I hate thinking those sick bastards live so close. Thank god the Met police found out and stopped it....6+ planes would have been blown up whilst over the atlantic...can you imagine how horrific that would have been. Hoy crap :sick:

Don't believe everything the journalists may say. They're always having their ideas without having a clue of what's going on. What we know is that some people wanted to make explode many planes. But we don't exactly know who wanted them to do that, why and all that stuff. We have ideas, but they might not be the right ones... Let the journalists calm down, and then we'll know what was really going on :\

the number of people arrested has been fluctuating too, but apparently it's 24.

 

this is bad, but the US has done so much crap w/ their color system for terror alerts that i'm wondering if it's been rendered useless now, cuz a lot of people seem apathetic right now.

Saiqa I know how you feel. I find it so frustrating. So many people I worked with today didn't seem bothered by it....I don't understand how you can sit and watch this awful stuff on the TV and not feel any emotion. :thinking:

 

Peace will never come. I don't believe it will anyway, which is pretty sad. :\

 

But I myself know that I am living a peaceful life...and I refuse to live in fear of these evil people. All I know is that's the best that I indivudually can do.

I called them, they told me they were offering me a place, but I'm still waiting for the papers and forms. They were supposed to arrive today, but my mailbox was empty :( Royal Mail and French Post are so slow when they work together !

I'm going to London on August 18th and 19th because there's an Open Day on the 19th.... If I received the forms in time, I'll give them at this time, if I didn't, I'll ask to fill them when I'll be there :lol: !

Hey July! Yeah it's scary but IMO it's all a bit exagerrated. I don't know... all these special news, everyone speak about it... I don't like it! But it's great that they arrested these bastards. ;)

:D Lucky you! I can switch to a lot of German channels (ARD, ZDF, RTL etc.) and they always broadcast it...

yeah, i hate it when the days get shorter, but when Ramadan rolls around i'm pretty thankful :P although it'll be before daylight saving time (do y'all have that over there, or is just us?) this year, so im screwed.
